I think it would be great to have a place to post requests, answers, or just general prayers for Class 281 or any pre-bud family. Everyone is Welcome!

Well, this is more like it!!!!  So good to hear from all you guys, and get the updates on your men!  Happy for all of you that everyone is finding their place!  I'm also tearing up reading about you guys we started with so long ago, So glad you are still with us and sharing this time with us.  Your men are in our prayers also!  Thanks Grandpa for your advice and information.  I will bring a pad/pen with me, 2 boxes of kleenex, and my cell phone, and we will find each other somehow. I'm good with a nametag with our code name on it, since my name is my code name, but will the others feel funny?  As far as meeting :  I'm thinking a half hour before the ceremony to the right (as you look at it) of the door leading to the SEAL store.????  something like that?  I am serious about Shamu on the 3rd!!!!     Am I correct in thinking there are 4 of us that are trying to meet?  anyone else?   2 original to 281 and 2 originating in 280?  I was so excited to get a phone call last night saying that Jump school is over.   You couldn't get me to jump in the dark for nothing!     SERE starts Monday for my son, so keep the prayers coming  PLEASE!   No illness or injury and courage and encouragement in the hard times ahead next week.   Will keep you updated, as I know stuff.   Looking at the mailbox daily now, hoping for an invitation, just like back in Great Lakes!    Your support and companionship over these 18 months have been so appreciated.  Just coming to this website to check this group has been almost a daily occurance for so long, I won't know what to do with my questions when this is over.

I'm so happy for Class 281.  I'm also getting so excited for our grad in April.  Please remember to let us know how you decided to identify each other (name tag etc.)  If 1 of you just PM one of us in 282, it would be greatly appreciated.  :)

Hi 281 family.  It's been a long time since I posted here.  I have to confess that every time I come here I end up in tears.  The memories are just still so real of my son's DOR.  Having said that though I want to give you all a big BRAVO ZULU and HOOYAH!  I know the graduation will be the most memorable and proud event in their Navy journey.  I hope you get to meet each other and share some stories you've lived along the way.  I am proud to have been among you, and congratulations to raising the "best of the best."

My son continues his training in Aircrew.  He should get his wings later this year.  He's doing well and I believe AWN Aircrew, fixed wing, Acoustic)  is a good fit for him. They will be phasing in the new P-8 soon and if he gets to fly the "new plane" it will be awesome.  He might even be stationed on the West coast.  Mama would like that.
