haha no big! It's all good! I'm writing this all down. No he isn't in boot yet. Shipping out December 14th, but he has been wanting to ship out sooner. He keeps going to PT every week hoping to get a call or something. Part of me wants that for him. So he can get a jump start on his career, but another part wants him to stay because that's all the time I have with him. And I barely get to see him as it is. Is that selfish? Oh I'm going to write him every day. Even if it's just an I love you and I miss you letter haha xD

Hey Tory
Ask and we will answer?
A lot of us are new, but we can help anyway possible. I'm currently in the second phase A School, First Phase was Boot Camp, next up is Marine Boot Camp for my Sailor. Luckily I still got 4 months of A school, my bf is a HM corpsman which is a medic.

Tips for a newbie..lets see..
Okay..
When he gets there, he will call with the quick *i'm here call* then hang up, it's only like 30 seconds.
He will fill out a form, with 4 names listed, kids 12 and under don't count on the pir list.
PIR = Pass in Review = Graduation from boot.
It's about 2 months long. You'll start getting letters after about 2 or 3 weeks, Write him often they loooooove letters. They will send back to you with the form letter a box of his clothes, and stuff from when he got there. (Including his phone, etc) You will get calls about 3 weeks in. GET HIM A PRE PAID PHONE CARD, AND ACTIVATE IT BEFORE HE GOES. He will be able to use this to call you!!! get him like a 500 min on or something. Uhm...Theres so much more, but when you get his PIR form, it will say his graduation date, You can search for a group with that PIR date, and you may have to create one yourself if there isn't, there will be other people whos loved ones graduate the same day.

I'll flip flop around..Chances are, it will be General, unless someone requests otherwise, or if I can't find anyyyyyy information on it(:
