This is a shirt I just made. This is the front of it, it wasn't dry, so I couldn't start the back. The anchor in the heart is gold, and has clear gems in it, and the speckles on the blue in SAILOR are gems too, my camera sucks. Lol.

Well who really cares what they're called as long as we get them right? lol... I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a letter and a phone call in the next week or two, but trying really really hard not to expect either!
Comment by nicole~a sailors girl(: on July 25, 2011 at 1:57pm
hmm. i dunno. maybe i just confused myself. they do get a call around 3/4 weeks.
Comment by abuon18 on July 25, 2011 at 1:56pm
I thought the call right after the arrive is the "I'm here" call then about 3 weeks in they get a phone call to let everyone know they're still alive, which is how it got that name, lol.

The IM ALIVE call is right after they arrive at basic. There is usually a call about 3 weeks in.
Comment by abuon18 on July 25, 2011 at 1:45pm

They are supposed to get an "I'm alive" call or something right? But those can be taken away... It's hard, but I'm trying not to expect it. But that would just be awesome if I got a phone call.... I never thought I would miss someone's voice so much! I swear before he left I was not sappy or emotional at all, he's the emotional one out of the two of us! I think that's making it a little harder for me, because I'm really not used to being so emotional!

Thanks for the tip Nicole!

mine was always an 847 area code. Look out for that, unknown, and restricted. It can come across as any of those!

The hall is cold. Even with people they said. So bring a cardigan or something(:
