Congratulations on graduating early!! What job do you want to have in the Navy?

He is a STG-AEF so when he graduates boot he has 2 more months in Chicago for ATT then will be in San Diego for A school and C school for at least a year and a half. We are getting married in the next 4-6 months, whenever it works out for us to have the time too. I'm a bit older than you, 23, and he will be celebrating his 24th birthday while in boot so we're at that stage in our lives where we are ready for that anyway, but it is happening a little faster than we'd planned because we need to be married before he finishes A school so when he gets his permanent duty station orders I will be on them. I'm moving to San Diego with him and I guess I'll just live and work there until they tell us what to do next! I work in hospitality (specifically event planning but also hotels) so I'm not too worried about all the job-jumping. OR the moving around, I've moved around since I was little anyway, I get bored in one place for too long! I am hoping it's not another freak cold year like last year was and September is nice, I'm from NY (live in FL now) and it's been a few years since I've been up there in the fall so I'm really looking forward to that weather again!

Well, he graduates 7/29 then goes to Goose Creek from anywhere between 12-16 months. I'll be graduating as a Junior(yes, in highschool) I am young, I know. It doesn't bother me though. I'll be graduating a year ahead of my class and if we're still together, moving down to GC with him, to live in an apartment or something. I myself want to join into the Navy once I graduate, but if we're still together when I do graduate, I may reconsider, or take a lesser enlistment job than what I had planned on, so we can start a family and all that jazz. That's about the extent of the plans. He said around the 1 year and some months mark proposing would be an option(: What are your plans? Also if you don't mind sharing(:

Yeah that is a horror story for sure! Don't know what I would do, I am so excited for his PIR! His PIR should be in Sept so SHOULD be before the bad snowstorms!

so Nicole he still has a while left of school then? Mine is sonar and has about a year and 8 months of school after boot! What are your plans? (If you don't mind sharing!)

He's off to Goose Creek I believe, he's a Nuke.

I would have just bawled COMCAM that would have been unbelievable- you get SO close, then they shut you down! Thankfully you made it, and made it safely!

believe me that was a sad part of my life. lol it was over christmas break so it was even worse, no school to destract me. Theeeen the night before PIR our flight got cancelled 3 different times! (this is just my personally horrow story, this will more likly not happen to anyone else lol) We had a very bad snow storm and my guys RDC's even told them to not expect anyone from the east coast. But i made it landed in chicago at 12am and got ot the hotel at 1am and made it to PIR!! He was so happy we all made it, i didnt even have the heart to tell him I cried all day and thought we werent gonna make it.

So lucky he is in in a push!!!

That's awesome nicole you got lucky! so where is he off to when he graduates?
Comment by nicole~a sailors girl(: on July 11, 2011 at 3:55pm
I would go crazy with 9 1/2 weeks of boot! my bf is a push, it's about 7 weeks for him.
Comment by abuon18 on July 11, 2011 at 3:55pm
That would be awesome! But until I hear his PIR date I am going off of the 9 weeks... I'd rather think its longer and get to see him sooner! Also, when he gets there they will have to remove all of his wisdom teeth so I'm pretty much expecting the 9 weeks...hopefully not 9 1/2 since he won't be there over holidays!
Comment by Kac46047 on July 11, 2011 at 3:49pm
Not to be a downer but mine was 91/2 weeks! pure touture. He went over Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years and each holiday set them back. You should be normal 8 weeks unless like nicole said he may be ain a Push division, which would be awesome lol
