FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Oh my lord. I am so sorry, I've missed SO much!!!!! I haven't had direct access to a computer so it's been REALLY hard. and I have ALOT of family stuff going on :'(
I saw C yesterday though, because he's in town for the weekend. I am heading for the airport at about 4:30 CNTRL T. And leaving with my family for a 7 day cruise to the bahamas and such! I'll update everyone when I get back, I read up on everything I missed, which...was A LOT!!! Lol.
I'm so glad everything is back to normal Kate.

Hoping I'll get one before 11/27 even though he left 11/9. I leave for Disney with my family for a week one 11/27 so I have an AWFUL feeling that I'm going to miss the first letter. I almost don't want to even go to Disney just so I can hear from him. =[

no he left 11-3... and i was told i wasnt supposed to get a letter for atleast another week and a half.i was very shocked lol.

haha. ive already sent him about 5 since ive had the adress. but this is the hardest thing ever. its always been me and him.. so i feel a little lost. but im trying to find things to occupy my time. and coming on here has helped. :)
