Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

my boyfriend and i spent our first valentines day apart while he was in bootcamp :( but he arranged before hand to get flowers sent to me on the day, i cried when i got them it was so sweet of him :) i hope you get to see him soon, bootcamp will be over before you no it!!!! :) my mom always said it wasnt just training for him but for me to, and after going through it i completely agree!

JohnnyMac'sGirl214(BMSGroton CT)- well i know but i have nothing to do i was hoping i can get a job but i cnt cuz no one is hiring and it sucks and i know everytime i was with him it went by fast and i hated it bcuz it would go by fast but i just need to except that he is in and there is nothing i can do about it and just be happy for him

Yes, I can handle it, physical part not so much right now, not getting to see the bf at all I don't know if I could handle that. I just have no idea what to do.

I need some advice. So I want to join the Navy there are better opportunities medical benefits and getting to see different places, downside I will never get to see my BF, he is already in the Navy and we wont actually get to have a relationship. MY other option is to work my butt off to get scholarships and grants so I can go to college and I will get to see my bf a lot more. I don't know what to do, I am at a really big loss.
