Thanks to the many moms and more that are here and ready to help when a sailor is in need! It is amazing to know that no matter where our sailors travel in the United States there is a mom there ready to rescue them with a hot meal, place to stay, or help to get back on the road!

To be added to the list send me (Susan mom to Niko) a friend request. Then you can send me a private message with your name, location and phone number. Then you are added to the list!

Here is the message from the mom that visited our sick sailor...  what an amazing group navy moms are!!  Thanks all for reaching out to this family!!

I'm happy to report she is much better.  I was there today and they removed her from the ventilator around 1.  By 4 they had her sitting up in a chair.  She is still running a fever and requires oxygen.  They are going to keep her in ICU for another 24 hours for observation then move her to a room.  I have to say there was a steady stream of sailors coming by to see her.  Master Chief even showed up to see when he could bring ice cream and to check to see if Mom needed anything.

I would like to help financially as well.  Please send me contact information.  I agree with Lisbeth!  It is a tribute to the Navy family.  We may never, ever meet each other but we all know how the others feel!  And if circumstances do bring us together, it is as if we've known each other forever!

I agree Theresa...  I have a couple of wonderful 'adopted' sailors that I have met by offering a meal or ride... and all that I have met have just been the kindest and most appreciative....  gives a good 'name' to our sailors and navy!!

A great group to try out..... Lots of knowledge, big broad shoulders and hugs.

"Safe Harbor" A place to set down the sails and relax with  each other. Whatever  brings you  here.. be it anxiety about your sailor, questions and fears... or just to visit.. You can be sure to find  it here...Safe  harbor where we chat , kick back, and  offer support to  each other.  A place to celebrate  life.. the  good times and the  low times.
