Thanks to the many moms and more that are here and ready to help when a sailor is in need! It is amazing to know that no matter where our sailors travel in the United States there is a mom there ready to rescue them with a hot meal, place to stay, or help to get back on the road!

To be added to the list send me (Susan mom to Niko) a friend request. Then you can send me a private message with your name, location and phone number. Then you are added to the list!

I don't need a rescue, but I am asking all Navy Moms to keep my son in your prayers. He injured his knee while working out on base and now he finds out he needs to have knee surgery. He is scheduled for surgery around the 18th of August so please keep him in your prayers.

Hello all!
I spoke with Jana on the phone... we got a couple of moms who are closest and she will work on getting them to contact her son! Mission accomplished... you are all so great!

Private message Jana for her sons address if you could/would send a card of support... sometimes a few written words is what supports these guys and gals the most!

So sorry... No fund set up. The sailor will be covered by his Navy and VA benefits. His Dad is staying at Fisher House right by the VA... so all is good for now... Thanks!

Bernadette... that would be wonderful! I am sure he is going to need all the support and encouragement he can get! It can be a long road to 'normal' again! No doubt he will make it but will experience 'bumps' of emotion along the way... hopefully notes of encouragement will help smooth those bumps!

Hello All!
The injured sailor is doing better... Since the accident on Saturday he has had two surgeries to stabilize his back, they have removed the breathing tube, have another tube in one lung to reinflate it, and he sat in a chair yesterday! Also about six of his squadron buddies were able to make it down from the base to visit! Thanks for all the people who have requested the address to get cards to him! I know if will make a real difference as he faces the many changes his life will have now.

Navy moms... there is a sailor who is stationed at Whidbey Island Naval Air Station that was in an accident on Saturday afternoon. He is hospitalized in Seattle. I had the honor of visiting with his parents just a few hours ago. They are amazing and strong people ready to support their son. He has had two surgeries this week and despite all the wonderful things medicine can do will be paralyzed. His parents have ok'd that I share this with you...

He is facing a many, many changes to his life and lifestyle. Along with months of rehab to relearn how to move and care for himself.

So I am calling all moms to reach out to this young man and let's show him some Navy Mom love! If you private message me I can share the web site so you can send an email greeting or my address to send a card or letter. They will be moving him to another hospital soon so we don't want to lose cards in the mail...
Thanks all! May you have a wonderful 4th!
