Jana - I would love to make contact with you.  I am just starting to plan my trip to Naples to see my son and would love any advice you could give.  I sent you a private message.  Thanks.

Would they not be able to stay at the Navy Gateway Inn and Suites on the Capo base? I just got back Sunday from visiting my son there and we stayed at the Navy Gateway Inn and Suites. It was $75 a nite.

japanmom - It is around $115 a night at Naples - here is a link to the information:

For circumstances such as your son's, I believe they have special lodging and/or reduced prices.

Hi rugbymom,
MAS is Molly's Adopt A Sailor group .do go check out the group . Non for profit organization we ship love and home comforts to deployed groups that contact us with a wish list .
Packing parties are a great way to get to know other moms in your area, or stay in touch through Navy for Moms . I was fortunate enough to be mom of the month the last December to a group of USAF deployed in Kabul.A-Stan. I was living in MA and at our joint packing party we packed just over 100 large if it fits it ships boxes . Good luck to your sailor :)

Happy New Year to all! My sailor is coming home too after his tour in Naples. He had a great experience, taken under the wing of a local Italian family outside of Naples. Now he is packing up an entire house and comng home into the civillian world. Doesn't want to go back to sub duty. An exciting new year ahead.

What is this MAS group? I may still feel the need to ship things to sailor!
