Ok, Robin that sounds about right.  LOL you should see all the stuff Stephen has bought out there. LOL

Ladies a friend of Stephen has passed away in Italy and he is home now in FLorida and the wake it today and the funeral is tomorrow.  Stephen is having a very hard time with this.  Last night I had to talk him out of getting on a plane and going to the funeral.  His name is TJ and he was a sailor in Sicily.  Stephen and I called the mom last night and this made Stephen feel better.  The Navy would not help Stephen go and he has such a bad head cold.  So please keep this family in your prays.  Thanks!

I believe the ship up to 5000lbs, well that is what they just did for my friends son, leaving TX with his family to HA.  It goes on a slow boat. LOL  They will have to wait around 3-4 weeks to get everything.

Thanks Robin!  Jamie pretty much had everything he owned in his seabags and the three boxes that I shipped.  Everything had been provided for him while he was going through training so I think it finally sunk in that he was on his own!  We still have his TV and playstation and bedroom set here, so maybe when he comes back to the States he can have that.  I would ship his TV, but I dont' have the orignal box and I'm afraid it would get broke.  I'll send what I can now, so from here on out, moving it will be up to him!

It is so nice that these sailors are seeing so much, good for them.  Stephen has seen way more then I every had, but I never thought I would go to Europe either, that was such a wonderful trip.  Can't wait to visit him at his next base where ever that is.

LOL yes Robin, Stephen will not eat at subway!  Still waiting to hear about his next base, it would be nice to know, but soon I hope. OMG Pam that is a lot of shoes.  You have to remember when they move it has to go with them.  LOL  If Stephen gets a ship he said he is sending his TV home I said ok and I am using it, LOL  it is a real nice one.  I did take Stephen shopping when he came home and he could not take it all back with him so I will ship that next week to him.  It is nice for them to get boxes and I always send food for him, I think that is the best part.

Going to MI this weekend so everyone have a nice weekend!

Thanks everyone!  I ended up shipping out three boxes yesterday that cost me $125!!  Jamie worked at Footlocker before he left for bootcamp and has a "collection" of Nike footwear that is unbelievable.  He has a shoe fetish like a woman!!  So I must have shipped ten pairs over to him along with some clothes and towels and wash clothesI already have two boxes started up for Valentine's Day.  Jamie traveled over there with another Sailor and they went through FMTB together so I'm going to assemble a box for him also.  And I kept the Customs Forms pretty basic also.

Long holiday weekend for our Sailors.  What a wonderful opportunity to see the world!!

Robin - I was just up in Mayport!  Next time I head up that way I will give you my info to share with Ali - would love to take her out for a bite to eat!  Gotta take care of our kids!

Dev leaves tonight for London, is quite excited, even bought a new camera for the trip, said he is going "total tourist"  LOL

Have a great weekend y'all!

Hey y'all!  Hugs to you Debbie, the silence here at the house was deafening when Dev headed back to Italy, I know how you are feeling.

Pam - I learned to NEVER EVER put Naples on the shipping labels either, just the APO address, otherwise if the mail goes to the Naples post office the chances of our kids actually getting it are next to nill!  I fill out the customs forms kind of simple, clothes, books, that kind of stuff.  Dev was a little down when he first got there too, he was kind of bored with the whole in-processing, he had been to A-school and then C-school and he was more than ready to just get going and get to work!  He was finally all done and ready to go to work and he got deployed to Haiti!  If I'm not mistaken it was a year ago today!

Carrie - Dev tells me Amber and some of the nurses from the hospital are going to London, he said they will all probably get together one night :0)

Robin - where is Ali now?

Have a great night y'all!

I just kind of went shopping around my house and sent paper products!!  We had that huge snow/ice storm come through Georgia, so we stocked up on everything last weekend.  He can't wait for the girl scout cookies to come next month!  I ordered 20 boxes so I might be able to spare a thin mint or two!  I'll have to tell him to start checking around for the one's leaving and see if he can pick up a bed or dresser.  I think getting over there was a shock to his system because he's been in school and training since April so to truly be on his own wasn't as easy as he thought it was going to be.  He's a smart kid though so I'm sure he'll figure it out.  He's just going to have to learn that clubbing comes after you get what you need!!  He did say he was staying in this weekend to study.  His EMT course starts next week.

Debbie - I know your probably really missing Stephen right about now.  It's hard, but I'm grateful of the times we live in so that we can Skype and talk on Facebook!
