Robin is the bf staying on the ship or land?  Stephen was sent on a mission, not a safe one, but he is back at home in Italy safe and sound.  Lots of land mines on land!

RB my son loves it there, he lived in a 3 bedroom house, it was beauiful and close to base.  We went to visit Stephen in June and it is not that bad, some of the site are just beauiful, we had a wonderful visit.  Support Side is a nicer base, that is for families, so they have a lot over there, that is where Dev and Amber are and Stephen is on Capo.  Listen to Robin she is right you are going to love it, just give it a chance.  We had no problem either.  Like there is no crime where we live!!!

Sharon, I am so jealous and yet so happy for you, enjoy your family.

Stephen was in Africa!!!!

Hey y'all!  Finally thawing out here in sunny FL!  We had freezes all week thus far!  Supposed to warm up a bit this weekend though!  I am not done with either my shopping or my baking, eldest daughter is in town now, today is her birthday so tomorrow we are taking her out, grandbaby's 1st birthday party is on Saturday afternoon, eldest son gets home on Sunday night and my Dev comes home on Monday!  I have no clue when I am going to get everything done but you can't wipe the smile off my face right now!  LOL  We do Christmas Eve at my mom's and Christmas Day is at our house, same thing as you Debbie, we eat all day, watch movies and play board games!  The kids are all quite competitive so it gets rowdy around here!

Devin got his e-4 and will be moving off base when he gets back in January, how is Amber liking her apartment living?  Dev is moving into a house with several other sailors.

Wow - top secret missions, that is impressive for Stephen to be involved in!  I'm betting it had to do with those crazy Koreans though,  Sucks that they cancelled his leave.

Well, I better a little work done here, babbling on the internet when I should be reviewing reports!  Y'all have a great day!

I will keep her in my prays Robin, don't like bad seas!  How is she doing?   Yes Christmas is right around the cornor, coming fast.  I think I am pretty ready, I still have to bake and clean but I think that is all. LOL  Going to the MIL for Christmas Eve and we stay home on CHristmas day and eat all day and watch movies, so that is our plan again.

Hi Carrie, I bet Amber's place is so nice, how is she like living off of base?  Why is Christmas always so busy, I have to bake also but I only have a few gift left to wrap.  We did a toy drive at school, so I did buy toys also, it is fun, one day we will have grandchildren (I hope).  Talked to Stephen, the other day I could hear in his voice something was wrong, he was out of Italy on a mission, not happy with the mission (sorry cannot tell you more) but he is home safe and sound in Italy again so thank God!  Yes, please send me some heat, it was -8 this morning, thatg is cold even for Chicago.  Please tell Amber I say hi and Merry Christmas to her and he roommate.

Hi Robin and Sharon!  How are you two doing?

Sharon, I used a snow shovel for finding teeth and shells, I love doing that. My father has made ducks and all sorts of things out of the shells and my nephews cannot believe that I find shark teeth on the beach. The one day I was there it was really rough. You made cookies, yum, I bet you had a wonderful time with your grandson. I have to bake tonight I have a cookie exchange Monday but goingto MI this weekend so I will freeze them for Monday. I did see a few men scuba diving right there, pretty far out too. You are getting boxes from Italy that is wonderful, let me know what is inside them. LOL

Hey y'all! Well it's been downright frigid here for our area! Freezes the past couple of mornings and the temp hasn't gone past 58 degrees in the afternoons! Brrrrrr!
This weekend is my baking weekend with my grandson, always fun, we make cut-out sugar cookies and decorate them. No one really wants to eat them when all is said and done but he sure has fun! This is our 3rd year, he's 4 now, maybe the cookies will be more appealling this year LOL!
Debbie - did you find any shark teeth while on Venice beach? You know that is what that beach is famous for right? You can usually just sift through with your hand and find them. It is also known for people scuba diving right off the beach, they just suit up and walk right in :0) I always kind of wondered how all those teeth wind up in that one area. Have found some real big ones there over the years, the kids always loved taking a trip down there!
Starting to get excited, been getting boxes delivered to the house that I have been instructed not to open, "don't even look at them mom!" Devin has apparently been a busy boy shopping in Italy!
