Hello-

My name is Tamara, my husband is currently in bootcamp. His PIR is 11/5. After he graduates he is suppose to be going to school in San Antonio for MA. Well I have heard from 4 people that the school is closing down for a period of time- like a year. So I was wondering if anyone else heard this and what the next step is. I know someone said that he can wait the time out and be a paper pusher and then be the one of the first go. Or choose another job while in bootcamp. So please help me and give me any tips or advice.

Thanks Tamara.

Tamara, Maybe you should check with his recruiter, it's possible that they will do MA school somewhere else.
Thanks Ladies. I already tried calling and they said they haven't heard nothing. So I don't know. I am just sitting waiting anxiously to know what is going to happen. And that would be great if you could ask your daughter.
I got a letter from my husband yesterday and he said to expect to live in San Antonio. So I dont know if that means he is waiting the year or what. So still waiting.
If they did close it down - and I have not heard a thing about that - - - my son went to MA A school in Virginia. They could move them there.
MY son just arrived in San Anotnio theis past Tuesday for MA School.
Thanks. I am just going to say that he is still going to be attending there. So I will let you all know if it does change.
My daughter is currently there now...she arrived on Tues....and doesn't graduate till Dec 10th....she said that noone has said anything around the base about closing....the only thing she knew is they are doing some remodeling to the barracks as she will be moving rooms tomorrow to allow new tiles to be put down...maybe this has helped....
Thanks Ladies. My husband actually got his orders last week for going there. So I guess people who told me either heard wrong or misinterpreted what they were told. Thanks so much.
