OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Follow this link for OPSEC Guidelines:

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).  Still limited to 2 guests maximum.

Specific information on this policy change will be provided in the coming days and weeks.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your support.

RTC Graduation

**UPDATE 7/16/2021**

**UPDATE - 2020**

Due to COVID there is no public PIR. The graduations are on Thursday, and the video of the graduation is posted on RTC's FaceBook on Friday at approx 3pm. Please keep in mind that a division may need to complete additional quarantine during training which will delay their graduation.

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Please see changes to attending PIR in the PAGES column. The PAGES are located under the member icons on the right side.

On the Thanksgiving/Christmas question: My "guess" is that for Thanksgiving, they would only have liberty from A School and would have to stay within 50miles....again, only a guess. Christmas, I know of ones who are currently in GL A School who are going home for some of the Christmas holidays. So maybe they will get "leave" for that? Unfortunately, you will have to wait until your new sailor gets to A School and he will be advised of all of that...but it won't be long now!

I don't know why I haven't either. You're not the only one with mood swings!! i was doing so good about not crying.. this weekend that went out the window!! I've been really sensitive to things. My towel rack came off in the bathroom and I lost it, normally he's just here to say.. babe go sit down I'll take care of! I hear a song on the radio and it makes me miss him even more. I guess we just have to take it day by day or on days like these.. hour by hour. I pray I get a letter this week, I need something to boost me back up!!

Oh my goodness.. thats music to my ears!! I'm craving a letter from him in the worst way!! I hope he does a good job keeping them in line.. I'm sure he will do a great job! Mine listens pretty good (to me anyways).. so he shouldn't be a I'm going to book this week. We are having so many problems with his family, its so unreal.. they don't want to go to his PIR.. my heart breaks for him.. so I'm going to load up my family and go.. they can see him when he's on liberty. When do we find out if they are grad and go? I highly doubt mine will be, but as im finding out with the navy.. nothing is set in stone!! Hope you're having a great weekend!

Forgive me, but my navy lingo is whats the MA? I'm doing pretty good, each day is different. Today was hard, we have sick children, and I missed his help soo much!! I was so excited to get the PIR letter yesterday.. those 3 sentences meant the world!! How are you holding up? PIR will be here before we know it!!! I've heard from other wives that we should expect a letter next week hopefully, have you heard that? Also, have you booked a room yet.. I'm wondering how soon I should do that! Have a great night!!
