OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

with my son and his class they all got leave  most left that day( my son  flew home that afternoon) some left the  next day  for 2 weeks then they report to their  duty stations .. they will get a  plane ticket  the closer they get to graduation and it will be for their duty station  my son chnged his  and we bought a ticket for him to come home and then to  california then off to his duty station ..........  also if they  decide to take their own vehicle they will  allow them a few extra days and pay a certain amount per day  for gas ect .... my son opted to have his vehicle towed  from cailfornia to washington state ... one of my friends sons  opted for the  drive from texas to  washington and he got 5 extra days  so you might want to think about  thast as well . they DO NOT pay   to have it shipped as it is their first  duty station  but any station after that then the navy will pay to have  it  towed ......back to the  flights ... they wont get that tickets until a week prior to grad  and remeber it will be to their first  duty station so  you  might want to  start looking for tkts for them to get home  also they DO NOT pay for any luggage fees  most airlines  give them up to   four free bags  so dont include that cost  into a ticket for them  because they dont charge for  them  also  with southwest  airlines IF you get a ticket for them while they are cheap and  they cant use  it  IE; they get pushed back  or something liek that  then  with SW  you can cancel and  they dont charge  for it ..  another thing with southwest and frontier  if you call them direct  they will give military discount I am not sure on the other airlines tho as those are the ones we  have dealt with  :)
