Thanks MA's mom.... I only get on at work.... thanks for the fill in. I wonder if there is a way to keep those kind of links available on this site so others will have them, with comments good/bad .... do you know?

I think that since Easter is on a Sunday, that what privileges your Sailor would have would depend on what Phase s/he has obtained to that point and if s/he has any watches to stand that weekend.

cris - I'm not p3pilotmom, but below are a couple of links for lodging near Lackland.  The first is for Howard Johnson, about half a mile from base and the other is a list for different hotels in the area.  There are also one or two places on base if you want to look up Air Force Base lodging - they are listed under "Gateway Lodge" or "Gateway Inn" - however, the ones on base will have to be reserved by your daughter and then she'll have to be present when her Aunt checks in, as well.

Hope that helps at least a little!  (I stayed at the HoJo - not terrible, but then we were looking for inexpensive and only stayed one night)

Thanks P3 Pilot Mom!!  Hey, she LIVES in San Antonio!  Talk about answer your questions about where to stay, where to eat, where to go - she is the one to go to!  I don't think her son is a MA - but she KNOWS the area they are in!

How soon will they get an address?  I need to ship my son his cell phone and some other things as soon as possible so that we can start talking!  I'm so tickled to have him out of boot camp so we can communicate!

Justin's mom, do you know what days they're off for Easter Vacation?

Thanks, Sharon. I sent my first care package last week Priority Mail, the tracking said it at least got to the base today!   Sent the baby shampoo and some candy.  I think first day of their class was today, it sounds like they are all stressing about the futue tests already.
