Hello..My son just arrived in SA yesterday. Not due to class until the 14th.  We just survived the snow for PIR 2/4.  Burr was it cold.

My son classed-up on Monday, Feb 7th. I'm hoping he will get his laptop and phone today. So far he's happy in SA and can't wait for OC spray on Friday..."Mom, we just have to do it and I just want to get it over with. No big deal."

MSRON - Maritime Expeditionary Security Squadrons

One of the things that MA's do!  Yes, he has been LOTS of places.  He was in Greece this weekend.

Jenny, before I made the trip, I would be sure that I would be allowed to see him.  He may not so early.  Are you sure he is leaving GL early.  Mine stayed in GL until the Wed. following PIR when he finished (and that was Presiden't Day weekend also).

jennyd, he would have to complete the command indoctrination before being permitted to leave the base, so no he, most likely, would not be able to leave the base yet.

so if i went up there that weekend he wouldnt be allowed to leave base at all?
Comment by Marti Jacob's Mom on February 8, 2011 at 10:51pm

jennyd they will not be able to leave the base till they Phases up.  It usually takes till 3rd week.  Then they can leave the base on weekends and return at night till Phase 3 when they can stay gone on weekends.  Mine is on Phase 2 he can now wear his own clothes after school hours.
