tennismom3,  My son was in the saem ship/div as you son!

There starting classes today.  My son's first roommate in Texas went to the doc ill end of last week.  The group was doing some financial training and since his roomate wasn't able to atend he was put back.  My son came back from class that day and all his roommates stuff was cleaned out.  poof.

DebBee they have Microwaves and a small frig in there rooms.  My son keeps getting sick but will not go in to have it looked at. He does not want to be put back aweek in class.   It seems to clear up then comes back.  He did say if it did not get better by today he was going in.  He woke up better so not this week.  He is hoping this week is the week they find out where they will go.

Hi MAmom! We did have a wonderful time in Great Lakes with our son and the graduation ceremony was something I will never forget! My son has the same thing your son has, a deep cough that won't clear up. I think they really tapped their immune system at BC, but hopefully they will all start getting a little better soon. Did you guys have a good time with your son? Which division was your son in? Ours was ship 07 Div 043.

Rooms are small, at least the one my sailor is in.  I shipped his laptop when I got back from PIR. He may be able to take his phone and laptop on the plane but you will need to check with your recruit.

No internet in the rooms so they go to a community room if they want to use their laptops.

Hello DebBee,  Take a look at the discussion above called 'Break down week by week'.  It is a good source.

Hi Tennismom3, I was BCmom on the other N4M PIR 1/14/11 site site with the same PIR date.  Bummer on the illness.  Several of the recruits coming down with something.  My son has had a cough for several weeks and it bums me that he cannot seems to clear it up.....but lucky enough to start this Monday.  Did you haved a nice (short) time with your son.  tooo short! but at least he is not freezing his tail off like I am in Minnesota!

My son had a PIR date of 1/14/2011 also and is now in San Antonio, but he was very sick once he got there, so he has been put back one week now, which is a bummer, but at least he is feeling better. Its so nice to be able to talk to him every day, much different than boot camp! ;)
