Congratulations to all who graduated from "A" school! Brovo Zulu! Please share your experience with us here, would love to know what you all did and stayed. My son is to graduate November 5th and hasn't gotten his orders yet. Hope he stays on track as anything can put them back in holding. Just wondering if he can fly back on our flight or we on his when we come back for his 2 weeks. Didn't book yet since we have time and would lose money if he were to go on hold. Do they pay for their own tickets?

CC0727, they are given a list of orders and then get to pick but it goes by their GPA who gets what. If your son picks Maryland for his 1st choice but someone with a higher GPA picks it too then they get it first if they only need so many there.

Hello other MA Moms! : )
I see that your Sailors have been getting their orders. I am just wondering how they picked. Did they get to pick from their dream sheets or were they randomly assigned? Just curious how it works as my recruit will be going to San Antonio after PIR. Thanks for any info you can share! : )

Brad graduates 2 morrow, yea!!!! :) He flys home for two weeks, then he drives to Maryland. He was able to change his flight, cost him an extra $94.
Rhonda, your son must be the one my son was talking about when he said there is one other person he knows going to Maryland. What state do u live in?

Hi Miranda's Mom, I know there are alot of hotels on the riverwalk and then you can walk everywhere. My son's PIR is Oct. 29th and then he will be in San Antonio for his training. I can't wait because we don't live far from San Antonio. How does your daughter like it there?

Amber, my son is going to Pax River, Maryland is that where Brad is going? From what I've read on line they have to get their tickets first and then see if they can get them rerouted....I told Zach to see if they got the tickets through SATO and if so they have a 1800 # they can call to change destinations...it might cost extra. We can drive Zach to Maryland...

Brad's going to maryland, thats what he picked, still don't know why, he had like so many other choices. After talking with Brad, I'm not going to the graduation, sad about it but really don't have an extra 600 dollars lying around.
Has anyone figured out about the airplane tickets and them being able to transfer them?

Is anyone going to the graduation on the 14th? Trying to book hotel and car rental. It will be my very first trip (without another adult in my 33 years).
