So excited Chris made it through OC spray!! He is glad that part is over. He is so ready to phase up for liberty so he can go somewhere other than on base. His roommates (who are further along) already have that privilege so he is feeling a little left out.

Hello All...I just joined today and reading to catch up on my other groups. My Sailor arrived in San Antonio yesterday. I'm sure I'll have questions as I read. Have a great day everyone.

Thanks Brenda Sue. I joined the Molly's group and ordered the boxes, but need to send tomorrow so I went to the PO and got a box. They said to go online and do the Click N Ship and it would know if going to military and automatically calculate shipping discount but it comes up $13.95 to Lackland ZIP I have of 78236. I saw on the PO site it should be $11.95? Also, do you know if you have to fill out the customs form if it is not going outside the US?

Lori, are you aware that there are two types of flat rate boxes (and many sizes). There is one specially for military - it is a couple of dollars cheaper to send. Also, you can get these boxes free from USPS - (online). They send you several boxes, a roll of tape and custom forms.
Newbies - come to Molly's Adopt a Sailor and you'll learn LOTS about shipping boxes!!

Just found out about shipping with the flat rate box...I am sending her civilian clothes so she will have something to wear....with a belt! I know her jeans are 2 sizes too big now. :>)

Hey LOri! Sorry to hear Brittany has been sick but so has Chris. He found out the Monday after PIR that he had strep throat. Had to miss the division pizza party and stay SIQ all day. He is feeling better now. He has two roomates one that is in week 1 and one that is in week 3 so hopefully they will tell him what to expect. Just sent Chris his cell phone and birth certificate--he has to get a passport.

Hi Bobbie! I just found this group as well. Brittany arrived the same day as Chris. She had been so sick but got some meds at the BX and they moved her into a different room (one that doesn't have mold growing on the carpet). Her roommate was also in Div 312. Looking forward to hearing all about the new things they will be learning in A School.
