Hi everyone, My son's PIR is 9/10. He told me he will ship out to San Antonio on 9/14 but as late as 9/21. Is this because classes for "A" school start at certain times? Do they stay then at GL's until the class opens or do they go to SA and wait there? Thanks

Susan, Brad informed he that was there start date, I think it was on his orders. He called from Atlanta and he also called me today, so yes they all made it, you should get a call soon, so he can give you his address, so you can send there phone, laptop and stuff. I saw the pics of your son on 8/20 group, he looks so happy. Is one of the females you in the picture outside the hotel?

Amber-Brad's mom, I sent my son packages to the address that he gave to me, and he got them both. I was hesitant to send the second one, since he had not received the first one, but did it anyway, and he received both of them. If you ship UPS just make sure you pack securely, as the boxes are very damaged, thankfully the contents were okay.

Question, since they have to pick up packaes at the mail room/post office, does everyone have the same address, if so does anyone have the address of where to send packages to?

My son's PIR is 9-2, on 9-3 he heads for San Antonio MAA A-school. He was asking me if I could find out about the living space or any other important info. Can anyone here point me in the right direction or do you have any tips for me. I have been reading as much as I can here, but haven't found specific info for him. Thanks!

Carolinagirl - My husband got orders to Washington as well! We'll be moving there at the end of September. We're both from Philly so this is a big move for us too!!

Yes, Kimmydee, you can send things UPS, but DON'T. Use the USPS flat rate boxes when you can. There is no mail call at Lackland like there was at BC. Your Sailor will need to go to the mail room to get any mail or packages.
