Hi all, I am new here to this group. I joined N4Ms when my son left for BC and it was a lifeline. Hello to any Oreo Queens out there (PIR 7/23) My son will arrive later this week in San Antonio. Thanks for all the info. The week by week breakdown was really good. I look forward to getting to know everyone.

Carolinagirl- They might be in the same class, is your son graduating Sept 3rd? My son also told me that a few of his room mates are also going to San Diego. Washington State is beautiful! He had that option too. SusanA, it helps if your son studies and score well on his test and does what he told as this helps him increase his chances of getting his choice of San Diego. They use that plus where the demand and need might be at the time of his orders. Good luck!

My son's got his first orders and is going to Washington State. He said that he knows 3 others who are at A school with him going to Washington also. Are there any other moms in this group who have sailors going there? We live in Florida so this is a big move. pepecola...my son also had the option of choosing San Diego. wonder if they are in the same class? .. good luck to all of you.

Just got the called my son's first assigned duty station will be in San Diego for 2 yrs. I am so happy for him. I guess I am the one mother who is excited that he is on the other side of the country all for good reasons. I always encourage him to travel and see the world. I will go out to see him whenever and wherever. LOL

ok I have a quandary in reagards to transferring service of my son's cell phone over to him. Per AT&T he has to have a email address and a foundation number in order for him to get that line. Could someone help me with this, bcuz I feel like that they are making him jump through more hoops than someone just trying to get service........please help!!!

Thanks everyone who posted about my issue. I am being hopeful just feel so bad for my son. He was so excited and I am hoping this doesn't drag him down or distracts him. I will never mail anything to him via priority next time I will use UPS. Thanks

I used USPS Priority Mail last Monday and he received it on Friday 8/6. It had some electronics like his Kindle in it but no laptop.

Eric's Wife~My son will be heading to a AFB in Northern Cali. He will be graduating from A school this Friday, but not sure if when he will be there. You can add me as a friend & I will do the same. You can also inbox me so at least we have another navy person to chat with.
