Financially I don’t think I can afford to fly to San Antonio since we all just got back from Chicago for PIR but I know my family will not be complete on Thanksgiving without my baby girl. I don’t know how many sailors will have family there during this time and don’t want her to be alone. Does anyone know if they have any special dinner or anything for Thanksgiving?

My son has been using s Shipmates phone since we did not go to the airport because he said they would rather us not ( I am sure it is because of the amount of families there), anyway I just $140.00 getting him his electronics and some personal items sent to him. Hopefully he gets them by friday. Looking forward to learning some things about MA life.

Yes, that agrees with what I've posted in the Break down week by week discusson above.

SR (SA or SN) LAST NAME, FIRST NAME

PSC 3

1320 TRUEMPER ST.

LACKLAND AFB, TX 78236

(Sometimes they have them include the Class number either next to the name or after the street, but that is the address. If the Sailor is in Holding. It will be PSC 3 HOLDING.)

Just got a call from my SA - got to Lackland AFB just fine yesterday. He gave me an address and I'm hoping someone can confirm it's correct:

SA ******, ***** *

PSC3 1320 Truemper St.

Class NMT

Lackland AFB, TX 78236

Just want to make sure before I ship out his cell & ipod. Thanks!!

Niffer, yes, there are pay phones or your Sailor can borrow a cell phone from another Sailor.  You can use the address in the Break down week by week to send things to him.

Hi all! I'm new here! My son had PIR on Friday! :). He flew on on Sat and I haven't heard from him yet. He doesn't have his cell yet - are there / are they allowed to use pay phones? I'm starting to get worried...

Welcome BP's mom.  Check out the top 3 discussions above and they should give you some good info about what to expect in the next 7 weeks or so.

MyAngel94 and bullindy, Your Sailors will be the ones to know when the graduation is.  Since it is a small ceremony and not many families attend, they move it around based on what is happening at the base.

Thank you Bullindy, It would be nice if it changed back to the November date ;)
