Kandra--What is your sailors rate? My sailor is a BU in A school at GP right now. He was there waiting for 2 months before he got to class up. He's loving it there.
My son has been in Gulfport since 10-5 in holding until his classes started on Monday 10-28. He seems to be enjoying it so far.
Hi Seabee Moms! Our daughter made it out to Port Hueneme for A school this past weekend after an amazing PIR on Friday (she will be training as a CM). She has asked me to look into options for wifi for her laptop so I was hoping to see what has worked for others out there.
Our son was finally able to begin the climbing-utility-pole block of his Construction Electrician A School again last Monday (21st.) We are thanking God that He has enabled him to make it back after three months of medical hold because of a pole-climbing knee injury. The knee is still hurting, but our son is climbing anyway. He did have to repeat one of the exercises last Friday because he was 10 seconds too slow getting down the pole, because of his knee.
Hello All,
I am new to this group. My baby has been a Seabee for 2 1/2 years. Any mom's in San Diego or Coronado? It's going to be his new home for a bit.
Any Amphib 1 moms with sailors at NAB Coronado Island?
Thank you, Karen, for the encouragement! We haven't heard anything yet, which probably means they haven't pre-tested him yet, but I may have to call him tonight. I'm SO happy that you will be able to see your son more often during the next month. Will that include Thanksgiving?
Lighthouse3: Yes ECS is combat training. He will be there for 4 weeks. The good news is that GP is only 30 minutes from here so I will be able to see him when he has time off. It has been great having him home. After ECS he is heading to Port Hueneme. I remember how nervous I was the whole time he was pole climbing. I had a prayer group going for him. I will continue to pray for your son's safety and success. I bet your Son graduates and is home for Christmas! That will be wonderful!!
