Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

It's hard not knowing! That is the purpose for this group. Most likely if you are here your SR has had trouble keeping up or not passed a PFA due to some sort of minor medical issue. Often it stress fractures bringing SR's here. Know this when you don’t get a call that is a very good thing. Calling them is not a good thing and it can negatively impact your SR to have his or her “Mommy“ calling!  They are harder on them in this DIV than any other. They want them up and out. The best thing you can do is sends tons of mail. Send scripture and motivational mail. I know my SR said reading the Bible was considered a sign of weakness here. When you get a tearful call motivate. Stay positive and encourage you SR. This is a small detour to greatness and getting the I'm a Sailor call!  Recruit family and friends…“Navy mom friends are the best“…to send your SR mail as well.  NMH for you all!!

Monchita...  CONGRATULATIONS!!!!  How wonderful to get that "I'm a Sailor" phone call.  I'm so excited for you.  I'm sure it was a complete weight off your shoulders to know your SR has made it.  Congratulations again!

Barby, great to hear your news.  You'll be getting that "I'm a Sailor" call too before you know it.  Congrats to you!!

patricks mom... FFD is FIT FOR DUTY... right now most of our SR's are on LLD =LIMITED LIGHT DUTY..

MONCHITA... OMG BRAVO ZULU...WOOOHOOO GIRL  im soooo excited for you.

OK i got SOME good news in the mail today.... my SR PASSED his Medical PFA last wednesday... and was told he'd be FFD last thursday... I STILL DON'T KNOW WHY HE HASNT MOVED ....   he declined the offer to finish Final PFA, Test 3 and Battlestations while in RCU.. wants to PIR with a division...

monchita; Congratulations girl, its been a trying time for you but you made it and a big Bravo Zulu to your son!!!!! I told you in the beginning anything was possible and looky what happened :-). I know not having a PIR stinks but, he will have an A school graduation and you can go see him there too when he phases up on his liberty.

Wow Monchita!  Your boy is where we're wishing all ours were!  So happy to hear his healing has progressed so well, and he'll be onto Battlestations soon!  Praise God Mama!!!

Barby - So happy to hear your news too!  Hopefully your son will be onto Battlestations soon as well!!!

Still waiting to hear on this end...  wonder if he ran the 1.5 miles he was supposed to yesterday... hmmm
