Seamen Recruits are here getting medical treatment for minor injuries. FIT DIV is also in this area.

It's hard not knowing! That is the purpose for this group. Most likely if you are here your SR has had trouble keeping up or not passed a PFA due to some sort of minor medical issue. Often it stress fractures bringing SR's here. Know this when you don’t get a call that is a very good thing. Calling them is not a good thing and it can negatively impact your SR to have his or her “Mommy“ calling!  They are harder on them in this DIV than any other. They want them up and out. The best thing you can do is sends tons of mail. Send scripture and motivational mail. I know my SR said reading the Bible was considered a sign of weakness here. When you get a tearful call motivate. Stay positive and encourage you SR. This is a small detour to greatness and getting the I'm a Sailor call!  Recruit family and friends…“Navy mom friends are the best“…to send your SR mail as well.  NMH for you all!!

coltens mom...yes, that does sound ridiculous. but it sounds like it worked out anyway! Happy early birthday, by the way. Have you been able to find a group for THU on here? I've been looking but can't seem to find one.

Yes he got moved back because of the trouble he was to do battlestations on Monday and be at THU on Tuesday. Now he is in a div. and will PIR on the 4th just frustrating that something so trivial was made to be such a big deal. apparently it is the entertainment now because someone made an issue of a few drops of air freshener getting on them. Not on their skin at all just a fine mist on the uniform. I think it is rediculous. However he will get to participate in captains cup and he will get to PIR and PIR is the day before my birthday. So all things work together for good for those who love the Lord!!!!

Coltens mom...thank you and yes Colten will get out of boot camp sooner or later. I know it doesn't feel like it though. Did he get in trouble in RCU or after he got sent to the division? I don't understand. Are you saying he got moved back in his training when he got in trouble?

Congrats Weston's mom that is exciting I don't think Colten will ever get out of boot camp. Thanks for all the support.

Yes he did He will now PIR on 11/4/11

He got in trouble for spraying air freshener and it accidentally got on another recruit and that recruit tattled on him. Colten got cleared for duty today. was suppose to do Battlestations on Monday. TO say the least HE IS NOT A HAPPY CAMPER AND NEITHER IS HIS MOM

sbarber...thank you. actually one of weston's division buddies is my friend on FB. The friend saw Weston right before BS yesterday and then told me about it today and then later told Weston that he told me. Did that make sense? lol Anyway, since Weston found out I already knew he tried to make me think he was gettin discharged and I, of course started to believe it! He knew how to get me. He always does. Now if I could figure out how to get him that good! lol and yes, it is a small world sometimes. I dated a guy a long time ago at camp lejuene. And weston's new friend in RCU is going to Groton. I sent you a friend request on FB. Let's do keep in touch!

@WestonsMom: My son is at A school in Mississippi right now thank the lord I think they tell those boys to do that to us because my son did the same thing with not telling me I mean I had to drag it out of him either that or they have warped their sense of humor. So so happy for ya. My husband is actually from NC he grew up outside of Washington NC and was stationed at Camp Lejeune NC while in the Marine Corp. what a small world huh. We live in Texas now and our son will be going to Groton CT soon for sub school as well. I know you are just beaming and I am so happy for you.

sbarber...Thank you! Yes I can't wait to see him and to hug him so tight! And to rub his precious head where there used to be a whole bunch of hair! And then i'm gonna smack his arm for scaring me half to death like that! Making me think he didn't pass after i've been waiting so anxiously! He's only gonna be somewhat close (FL) during his 2-3 weeks at A school. After that he goes to CA and I'm in NC so there will be distance. Our last name is Lambert. Where is your son stationed?
Comment by sbarber on October 19, 2011 at 8:08pm

@WestonsMom; YEEE HAAAWWW!!!!!!!!!! Congrats so happy for you I know you can't wait to see your son. And he's gonna be close to home that's wonderful. I'm so happy for you BOTH finally onto a new journey in his career. I know it was one of my happiest too. Can you PM me Westons last name so I can tell my son the good news.

@Donna: I know it's not want you wanted to hear I know you were looking forward to seeing him hopefully when he calls you he will have word on a new PIR that's fantastic too. It's a great experience to witness after all "we" all have been through. I left everyone in the dirt getting to my son on the parade floor I know you will too.
