OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

It's hard not knowing! That is the purpose for this group. Most likely if you are here your SR has had trouble keeping up or not passed a PFA due to some sort of minor medical issue. Often it stress fractures bringing SR's here. Know this when you don’t get a call that is a very good thing. Calling them is not a good thing and it can negatively impact your SR to have his or her “Mommy“ calling! They are harder on them in this DIV than any other. They want them up and out. The best thing you can do is sends tons of mail. Send scripture and motivational mail. I know my SR said reading the Bible was considered a sign of weakness here. When you get a tearful call motivate. Stay positive and encourage you SR. This is a small detour to greatness and getting the I'm a Sailor call! Recruit family and friends…“Navy mom friends are the best“…to send your SR mail as well. NMH for you all!!

My daughter left June 30, 21 ended up being sent to the ER before going to RTC to have her gall bladder removed. She left the hospital on July 5th and is now in RCU. I have not heard from her to see…Continue

Colten's Mom - my sailor was in RCU last year for a knee injury. He is in Goose Creek now and will "class up" to Prototype this month in Goose Creek but a lot of his buddies are going to Ballston Spa. What will his rate be? Mine is an MM.
That post Battle Stations call is the SWEETEST!!!! Especially when a sailor has spent time in RCU and the uncertainties there. I'll light my blue candles too!! I honestly believe that suffering through RCU has made my sailor a stronger person overall and he has an affinity for those sailors who really have to fight to complete bootcamp.

I am going to see Colten as soon as I can and then we will be with him at Thanksgiving. whether he comes home or we go to him. Then hopefully they will get to come home for Christmas!!!

i would love to see weston once he's in THU but i'll probably have to wait and go to his A school graduation.

Well he has 3 schools to attend A school is 12-14 weeks, then Power school 24 weeks then prototype school is 24 weeks then he has to do some specialty training that is 8 weeks it is in South Carolina for the most part. Prototype school is in Balston Spa New york. THey say it takes about 2 years to complete and he will have most of his BS degree in Nuclear Engineering when he finishes.
Are you planning on going to see Weston once he gets to THU?

Westons mom He could do it Wednesday or thursday. I also found out that they only do battlestations mon thru thurs. I bet they will be done about the same time. I am going to go next weekend I was hoping to go this weekend,

Wow I'm really happy that everyone is getting the news that they wanted or needed to hear today. @Donna & Westons mom they are ready and they will do great I just know it. And LOL I have candles all over the place too I even took one to burn in the hotel while we were traveling to PIR talk about on a wing and a prayer LOL. Have a good night everybody. @tks4 all the best thoughts and prayers your way of course I hope you too got good news this evening.
