OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

It's hard not knowing! That is the purpose for this group. Most likely if you are here your SR has had trouble keeping up or not passed a PFA due to some sort of minor medical issue. Often it stress fractures bringing SR's here. Know this when you don’t get a call that is a very good thing. Calling them is not a good thing and it can negatively impact your SR to have his or her “Mommy“ calling! They are harder on them in this DIV than any other. They want them up and out. The best thing you can do is sends tons of mail. Send scripture and motivational mail. I know my SR said reading the Bible was considered a sign of weakness here. When you get a tearful call motivate. Stay positive and encourage you SR. This is a small detour to greatness and getting the I'm a Sailor call! Recruit family and friends…“Navy mom friends are the best“…to send your SR mail as well. NMH for you all!!

My daughter left June 30, 21 ended up being sent to the ER before going to RTC to have her gall bladder removed. She left the hospital on July 5th and is now in RCU. I have not heard from her to see…Continue

WestonsMom, I called the legal dept and left a message for Mr. Singco but I never heard back. It was pretty late my time so maybe tomorrow. Thanks for the idea on crosswords. Tyler does a pretty good job of writing so far. He is starting to have problems with the other hand now so dont know if they will cast it also or not.

Tyler's Grandma -- Oh, I didn't mean to suggest any certain website, just wanted to share that while googling I found an acronym which suggested that SMART had something to do with rehab. Regardless, I hope you are soon able to get some information and put your mind at ease. :)

Welcome CoastalKat. Sorry you recieved bad news. Hope he heals quickly. He will make friends in this div. He will also be bored to death. Just send him lots of mail to keep his spirits up. Most phone calls come on Sunday but havent been very consistant lately.

Question. I just got the dreaded call from my recruit. He has a fractured leg & has been moved to this division. Did he give me the correct address? He didn't mention the line "Recruit Training Command." Should this be included?

Thank you. I will try Mr. Sengco this afternoon. I have been worried about getting Tyler into trouble and of course thats the last thing I would want to do. I do worry about him being depressed. He has been on Ship 4 sense early July.

The PAO wouldn't tell me anything at all exept the legal depts phone number and said I had to call there first.
You may want to let Mr Sengco know exactly your intentions....for example, if he thinks you are just worried then he will have your grandson call you with info. Or if your grandson doesn't know either you may want to ask for someone above your grandson that can give you medical info & advice like if he'll recover or not.
