RCU SHIP 04 DIV 741

Seamen Recruits are here getting medical treatment for minor injuries. FIT DIV is also in this area.

It's hard not knowing! That is the purpose for this group. Most likely if you are here your SR has had trouble keeping up or not passed a PFA due to some sort of minor medical issue. Often it stress fractures bringing SR's here. Know this when you don’t get a call that is a very good thing. Calling them is not a good thing and it can negatively impact your SR to have his or her “Mommy“ calling!  They are harder on them in this DIV than any other. They want them up and out. The best thing you can do is sends tons of mail. Send scripture and motivational mail. I know my SR said reading the Bible was considered a sign of weakness here. When you get a tearful call motivate. Stay positive and encourage you SR. This is a small detour to greatness and getting the I'm a Sailor call!  Recruit family and friends…“Navy mom friends are the best“…to send your SR mail as well.  NMH for you all!!

rtc.pao@navy.mil is their email I got it off of their home page under FAQ's. I'm glad Weston is doing good at keeping you updated, however Donna I would call them and ask for an update they will HAVE him call you. Here is their number as well (847)688-2405. It's the only way you will put your mind at ease.

lol @ sbarber!! That is too funny! I just wonder how you got the email addresses? I talked to Weston recently. He's very good at keeping me up to date especially since I did call PAO at 1st and they in turn had me call legal. Weston told me he didn't get in trouble but they do look down on it because they don't want mom's worrying. I wouldn't suggest calling unless you really need to.

@ Colten's Mom...I would call the PAO (public affairs office) since Colten doesn't keep you up to date on his medical status. They will have him call you himself.

@Tylers Grandma...I will ask Weston.

His last name is Coghill. Thank you so much.

I will ask Weston next time I talk to him if he knows Tyler. What's his last name?

@Coltensmom&Westonsmom: My son said he was allowed to "jog" in phase 3 but only like 3 laps. I really am not understanding the no communication. Have either of you tried calling up there and questioning what is going on with their medical appts. since they aren't being allowed to call home? They must have changed RDC's lately. Because this is insane.....I'm just saying if it was me I would call the Public Affairs Office and ask them to have my son call with a medical update since I haven't spoken to him in over 3 weeks because excuse my language thats bu**sh*t. Did I tell the story on this page about how I got my son's pictures done? He was hurt right before Div pic's after his original Div PIR'd I emailed the NEX photo lab and ask if my sons photos were taken, they said no ma'am but we loved to its up to Div command to send them over so I forwarded that to PAO and within 30 minutes I had an email saying we just took your son photos.LMAO talk about quick so when he called that weekend I ask him about the photos and if he got in trouble and he was like how did you know I took my pictures and I said ummmm well and told him what happened I was like did you get in trouble and he said no Chief just told me I better get my a$$ over there before my mom had my a$$ and his too.... his words not mine LOL. I guess what I'm trying to say is they are in medical they aren't going to be IT'd for anything because they can't be and you may not get any answers if you don't ask. But whatever you decide know that you have support here and we think about them and pray for them everyday.

Hi Weston and Coltens Moms, It sounds like things are going well for your guys. I am so glad. I still havent found out much on Tyler. I didn't hear from him yesterday like I thought I would. Did you hear from anyone yesterday?  I hope Colton and Weston are ok. Do they know where Tyler is?

from my understanding, they can't run at all until phase 4. Weston's been in phase 4 for over a week now. All phases are generally 2 weeks each from what I'm told. Weston is trying to get as much of his academic training done as he can while in RCU so he has went thru the phases quicker than 2 weeks each. I think he also skipped phase 1 because he wasn't using crutches at first.

SO he has finished phase 4? Colten should have been moved up to phase 4 on Tuesday of this past week. Phase 4 is 2 weeks. He was already in phase 4 once and they moved him back to do phase 3 and 4 again. but he told us when we spoke to him that he was running pain free.

I didn't get a call this weekend either. He's supposed to do his PFA sometime really soon. I was hoping to hear when he'd be doing as I am worried about him being able to do it. Not knowing really is frustrating.
