Seamen Recruits are here getting medical treatment for minor injuries. FIT DIV is also in this area.

It's hard not knowing! That is the purpose for this group. Most likely if you are here your SR has had trouble keeping up or not passed a PFA due to some sort of minor medical issue. Often it stress fractures bringing SR's here. Know this when you don’t get a call that is a very good thing. Calling them is not a good thing and it can negatively impact your SR to have his or her “Mommy“ calling! They are harder on them in this DIV than any other. They want them up and out. The best thing you can do is sends tons of mail. Send scripture and motivational mail. I know my SR said reading the Bible was considered a sign of weakness here. When you get a tearful call motivate. Stay positive and encourage you SR. This is a small detour to greatness and getting the I'm a Sailor call! Recruit family and friends…“Navy mom friends are the best“…to send your SR mail as well. NMH for you all!!

Adrienne and Robsproudmom... Haven't heard from you in a while. Hoping all is well with you..Keeping you in our prayers.
Tay...So sorry to hear of your husband's injury. Will keep him in our prayers.
Adrienne is your son leaving the Navy?
Adrienne and Robsproudmom.... Will keep praying for you both. I know this is hard and it is even harder on your sons, but they are in good hands and will heal. The Navy takes good care of their sailors or sailors to be. Sometimes, if someone gets in trouble,no one is allowed to call home. This could be the issue. God has a plan for both of these young men and keep the faith that He will deliver them through this time of difficulty. Praying for you and your SRs.
What is SEPS?
Adrienne, have you gotten regular phone calls while he's been in RCU?
Thank you, Paces for your kind words of encouragement and the info. I'm praying and writing waiting to hear!
Robsproudmom....
We don't have anyone in RCU now. He was there some time ago, but it is one of the most difficult roads you will travel. He needs all the support and encouragement you can give him. As soon as you get his new address, write him as often as you can. He has worked so hard to get where he is and has developed a strong bond with his classmates. The worst part will be seeing them graduate and he being laid up in RCU. Our son had a complete break and was there for several months. We will be praying for a quick and complete recovery.
Please encourage him to not to rush his recovery. Our son did and ended up breaking his leg again. This caused another round of difficulties.
Your son will begin to feel like he has let you down and will become depressed at times. This is why it is so important to send letters and cards saying how proud you are of him. More letters than cards because his storage area is very small. You should be getting a call every week. Ours was on Sunday and they write every week as well. I became the mailbox stalker on Thursdays, because that is when his letters came in. The news was always a week late, but at least we had an idea of what was going on.
They also usually call when they see the doctor.
I am sorry this is not a more positive email, but it will make your son a stronger person. You and he will get through this roller coaster ride and it will be a memory before long. Just keep the faith and say lots of prayers. Everyone here is wonderful and a few of us still keep up, because we know the road you will be traveling will not be easy.
Keeping you in our prayers.
My son called Jan. 11th (our first call) and we talked for 45 min! He was very upbeat - ready for things to really get busy and looking forward to PIR Feb. 7th. Then he called back on Tuesday night. I knew something was up. He said he has a stress fracture in his foot and was ASMO'd to RCU for 4-6 weeks. He was so bummed to leave his DIV 806 and be held back. I hate not being able to talk to him and find out exactly how he's spending his time. I feel so bad for him. Anyone else have an SR in RCU right now?
oh tidefan, thank you so much!!!!! My little Gman is just the cutest. I am a happy grandma. And Yes My SR passed her run!!!!! Now it's time to change gears and think about going to Illinois in 3 weeks. I need to watch tomorrows PIR. I just couldn't bring myself to watch because of my daughter being in Rcu. We are now just waiting to hear what DIV she will be put into.
munchkinmom-CONGRATS!!!!
munchkinmom- I am friends with your son in law on facebook. Small world. The sailor pictures are so good.Praying for your SR.
