Information

RCU SHIP 04 DIV 741

Seamen Recruits are here getting medical treatment for minor injuries. FIT DIV is also in this area.

Location: RTC Chicago, IL
Members: 203
Latest Activity: Jul 20, 2023

It's hard not knowing! That is the purpose for this group. Most likely if you are here your SR has had trouble keeping up or not passed a PFA due to some sort of minor medical issue. Often it stress fractures bringing SR's here. Know this when you don’t get a call that is a very good thing. Calling them is not a good thing and it can negatively impact your SR to have his or her “Mommy“ calling!  They are harder on them in this DIV than any other. They want them up and out. The best thing you can do is sends tons of mail. Send scripture and motivational mail. I know my SR said reading the Bible was considered a sign of weakness here. When you get a tearful call motivate. Stay positive and encourage you SR. This is a small detour to greatness and getting the I'm a Sailor call!  Recruit family and friends…“Navy mom friends are the best“…to send your SR mail as well.  NMH for you all!!

Keep your phones ready.................... I just got off the phone with my daughter. She is going to ask to do her medical pfa tomorrow.   If She passes, she then can get into another Div by Friday.  She said she has been running very well during practice, so passing should not be an issue for her.  Once back into the Div, she still needs to finish off 3 more weeks.   Yea!!!! Its such a relief to know she is doing well.

Received a call from my SR yesterday afternoon, she was moved to phase 4! yay...we were able to talk for about 30 minutes....she is all healed, has to finish Live Fire Fighting this week and Gas Chamber then she can do her run! So happy and excited for her! She stayed positive throughout this entire process, I know that must have played a factor in her quick recovery.  She said she should be done in aobut 2 weeks...

thought I would post an update......getting positive news from my Sr now.  She is in phase 2 of recovery, and hopefully into phase 3 next week.  Today is her first wedding anniversary and was able to call her husband. ( I am kind of feeling like chopped liver, as I have only talked to her once since she went in the middle of August) but he says she is doing much better. I picked up cards today at the Current Outlet store so planning on writing cards to our SRs that could use some encouragement.

Thank you girlnboots,  It's been a rough evening.  I just finished a 5 page letter giving my girl examples of how strong she is.  I gave her examples of when she wanted to slug someone in the face, but didn't (not that I know of anyways).  I hope it helps.  Good night and sweet dreams to all of us moms as well as our sr's.  It seems we all need peaceful dreams. Tomorrow will be a new day.
