While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

It's hard not knowing! That is the purpose for this group. Most likely if you are here your SR has had trouble keeping up or not passed a PFA due to some sort of minor medical issue. Often it stress fractures bringing SR's here. Know this when you don’t get a call that is a very good thing. Calling them is not a good thing and it can negatively impact your SR to have his or her “Mommy“ calling! They are harder on them in this DIV than any other. They want them up and out. The best thing you can do is sends tons of mail. Send scripture and motivational mail. I know my SR said reading the Bible was considered a sign of weakness here. When you get a tearful call motivate. Stay positive and encourage you SR. This is a small detour to greatness and getting the I'm a Sailor call! Recruit family and friends…“Navy mom friends are the best“…to send your SR mail as well. NMH for you all!!

My daughter left June 30, 21 ended up being sent to the ER before going to RTC to have her gall bladder removed. She left the hospital on July 5th and is now in RCU. I have not heard from her to see…Continue

looking for ideas on how to encourage and uplift SR in medical. She has an injured
shoulder, is feeling down and wants to go home. I know that's not what she really wants. I just want to hold her and make it all okay.

Good Morning Knicky! my daughter was also set to graduate on 9/20, so this week is especially hard for me! We would have been leaving for Chicago tomorrow. She also has a stress fracture in the leg..My daughter has been there well going on 4 weeks. They do get the best care and most of he time come out stronger then they went in! Stay positive, write him everyday! My daughters says in her letters, our letters help them get thru the day!

Hello everyone, my husband was set to graduate on 9/20 but was sent to RCU a few days ago for stress fractures in one of his legs. He said is starting in Phase II. Me and my daughter so badly wanted to see him graduate :(

today would would have been one week till my daughters PIR, feeling sad...but optimistic at the same time. I know the time will fly by, and I will see her beautiful face! She moved up to phase 2 after 1 week in RCU...I hope that is a good sign.
To all my other mothers out there, I continue to burn my blue candle and say a nightly prayer for all our children in RCU!

Girlnboots-ship14div376, I went to the post office today, they have a flat rate box you can buy for 5.69 and fit as much in as possible, no weight limit. It looked like it will fit about 6 bottles or so...so I figured i would fill it up with shampoo conditioner and shower gel, and then my daughter can share if other girls need some!
My daughter mentioned being friends with a girl from Kentucky and Michigan, are there any moms here with daughters in rcu from there?
