Seamen Recruits are here getting medical treatment for minor injuries. FIT DIV is also in this area.

It's hard not knowing! That is the purpose for this group. Most likely if you are here your SR has had trouble keeping up or not passed a PFA due to some sort of minor medical issue. Often it stress fractures bringing SR's here. Know this when you don’t get a call that is a very good thing. Calling them is not a good thing and it can negatively impact your SR to have his or her “Mommy“ calling! They are harder on them in this DIV than any other. They want them up and out. The best thing you can do is sends tons of mail. Send scripture and motivational mail. I know my SR said reading the Bible was considered a sign of weakness here. When you get a tearful call motivate. Stay positive and encourage you SR. This is a small detour to greatness and getting the I'm a Sailor call! Recruit family and friends…“Navy mom friends are the best“…to send your SR mail as well. NMH for you all!!

Daisy13,
oh wow, a very early injury! It hard to just go to bootcamp, my daughter graduated high school in may and left July24th! its an adjustment in itself to be away from home, an a rigorouse schedule and then to have an injury! If you private message me her name I will send her a card! I will also tell my daughter too look out for her!
jellsmom It's my niece, but she has been there at least this week, possibly last week. She just went into BC on 9/4.
Hi Daisy13, I print off pictures of encouragement quoates from google, I print songs, and poems...this is just a stepping stone in their long journey! they will have many more some good and some not so good! But if they really want this, they will focus on their new goal of healing and then completing their training. I dont know how long your daughter has been in RCU but my daughter has been there just about 4 weeks and it appears it has gotten better her and she sounds positive in her letters. My daughter would have had her PIR tomorrow 9/20... she was so close...I miss her terribly but I am so proud of her and I pray daily for all of our children in RCU!
looking for ideas on how to encourage and uplift SR in medical. She has an injured
shoulder, is feeling down and wants to go home. I know that's not what she really wants. I just want to hold her and make it all okay.
thank you girlnboots!
Good Morning Knicky! my daughter was also set to graduate on 9/20, so this week is especially hard for me! We would have been leaving for Chicago tomorrow. She also has a stress fracture in the leg..My daughter has been there well going on 4 weeks. They do get the best care and most of he time come out stronger then they went in! Stay positive, write him everyday! My daughters says in her letters, our letters help them get thru the day!
Hello everyone, my husband was set to graduate on 9/20 but was sent to RCU a few days ago for stress fractures in one of his legs. He said is starting in Phase II. Me and my daughter so badly wanted to see him graduate :(
today would would have been one week till my daughters PIR, feeling sad...but optimistic at the same time. I know the time will fly by, and I will see her beautiful face! She moved up to phase 2 after 1 week in RCU...I hope that is a good sign.
To all my other mothers out there, I continue to burn my blue candle and say a nightly prayer for all our children in RCU!
Girlnboots-ship14div376, I went to the post office today, they have a flat rate box you can buy for 5.69 and fit as much in as possible, no weight limit. It looked like it will fit about 6 bottles or so...so I figured i would fill it up with shampoo conditioner and shower gel, and then my daughter can share if other girls need some!
My daughter mentioned being friends with a girl from Kentucky and Michigan, are there any moms here with daughters in rcu from there?
