Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

It's hard not knowing! That is the purpose for this group. Most likely if you are here your SR has had trouble keeping up or not passed a PFA due to some sort of minor medical issue. Often it stress fractures bringing SR's here. Know this when you don’t get a call that is a very good thing. Calling them is not a good thing and it can negatively impact your SR to have his or her “Mommy“ calling! They are harder on them in this DIV than any other. They want them up and out. The best thing you can do is sends tons of mail. Send scripture and motivational mail. I know my SR said reading the Bible was considered a sign of weakness here. When you get a tearful call motivate. Stay positive and encourage you SR. This is a small detour to greatness and getting the I'm a Sailor call! Recruit family and friends…“Navy mom friends are the best“…to send your SR mail as well. NMH for you all!!

My daughter left June 30, 21 ended up being sent to the ER before going to RTC to have her gall bladder removed. She left the hospital on July 5th and is now in RCU. I have not heard from her to see…Continue

calebzmom...I am so sorry about Caleb. As Mom&Dad4MattJ said "He can do it". It is difficult I know, but you do get to hug him in just a few days. I can't wait until Aug. Our son will be coming home on leave for 30 days (we are praying). Hugs and Prayers to you both

Sorry about Caleb, the good part now is he will get to come home, know what he is up against to prepare for next time. He can do it.. Just keep encouraging him.
Our son passed his run after having stress fractures.. takes determination. Hang in there! Prayers for both of you.

I talked to Caleb for an hour today--He is being separated for not passing the run PFA. He will be able to re-enlist in about 6 months. He will be in "seps" for about another week or so till they get paperwork straight and get flight out of Chicago to Richmond. I will be so glad to see him--He will be going back and trying again as soon as they will let him--Thanks for all your hugs, prayers and support all these 20 weeks. Wow--will actually be able to hug him!!!

Is it true that per letter from Caleb that FIT gets no more calls until they pass run??? He wrote on 3-7- I talked last to him 2-9--Is this true for ALL of FIT???

No call yet on what Dr has said except the call of the move and that she has 3 stress fractures in her foot....I am very upset with the way this is done....

I feel for all of you that have not recieved your calls, my heart goes out to you. I think that was the absolute hardest part of the Navy, knowing your kid is broken and you can't get any info except a letter if you get one at all. They SEP'ed my daughter finally and I'm waiting for her to come home to heal. Some go in the Navy strong and come home broken. Who said no call is a good thing in the Navy? I beg to differ!

@Calebzmom I had a phone call from my husband on Friday. He said yes they are in trouble and the PO made a new rule about phone calls. Someone got the group In trouble. He only called me because he phased up. But said prob will be last phone call until he actually graduates. I'm sorry happy BD.

Apparently the phones are down. Something to do with the computer system. Its been 3 Sundays since we have talked to our daughter in RCU. She is almost done. Medical PFA , Final PFA and BS. When she wrote she said she was sick yet again though. :(
