It's hard not knowing! That is the purpose for this group. Most likely if you are here your SR has had trouble keeping up or not passed a PFA due to some sort of minor medical issue. Often it stress fractures bringing SR's here. Know this when you don’t get a call that is a very good thing. Calling them is not a good thing and it can negatively impact your SR to have his or her “Mommy“ calling! They are harder on them in this DIV than any other. They want them up and out. The best thing you can do is sends tons of mail. Send scripture and motivational mail. I know my SR said reading the Bible was considered a sign of weakness here. When you get a tearful call motivate. Stay positive and encourage you SR. This is a small detour to greatness and getting the I'm a Sailor call! Recruit family and friends…“Navy mom friends are the best“…to send your SR mail as well. NMH for you all!!

My daughter left June 30, 21 ended up being sent to the ER before going to RTC to have her gall bladder removed. She left the hospital on July 5th and is now in RCU. I have not heard from her to see…Continue

You know I got a couple of letters without stamps as well! But maybe just a mistake because my husband did buy stamps before and even had extra so he sent me some!

I have a silly question...do our SRs need stamps to mail letters? Should I bother sending them? The first couple of letters that I got from my SR, they didn't have postage on them. I sent a letter and included stamps, he wrote back using the stamps. I imagine that his RDC is letting him write but he is getting in trouble for not having postage. I know this is silly!

@Grace there is no way of finding out. Every sailor is different especially in this group. The sooner he heals the sooner he can graduate! Good luck

I heard from my son. He is Fit for Duty, but not Fit for Travel. He is supposed to leave RCU and join in with the division he has been AIT with on Monday. He has a PIR date, but I still don't know if they'll let him actually be a part of the ceremony. He seems to think he will be able to. Also, because he isn't Fit for Travel, he will most likely have to go into holding after he graduates until he has another xray showing the fracture is completely healed. He really wants to get to A school (also in GL), so hopefully he will be able to. We have arranged to fly out on his PIR date, I hope we'll get to see him. Everything is still so up in the air. But, I'm happy with the news we have received!! :)
