Seamen Recruits are here getting medical treatment for minor injuries. FIT DIV is also in this area.

It's hard not knowing! That is the purpose for this group. Most likely if you are here your SR has had trouble keeping up or not passed a PFA due to some sort of minor medical issue. Often it stress fractures bringing SR's here. Know this when you don’t get a call that is a very good thing. Calling them is not a good thing and it can negatively impact your SR to have his or her “Mommy“ calling! They are harder on them in this DIV than any other. They want them up and out. The best thing you can do is sends tons of mail. Send scripture and motivational mail. I know my SR said reading the Bible was considered a sign of weakness here. When you get a tearful call motivate. Stay positive and encourage you SR. This is a small detour to greatness and getting the I'm a Sailor call! Recruit family and friends…“Navy mom friends are the best“…to send your SR mail as well. NMH for you all!!

CTMom...As they progress to Phase 4, they are working out more and training. He may just be too busy to write. I know our letters and phone calls slowed way down once he went into this phase. In fact, we did not even know he was going to Battle Stations until the day after he completed it. He was too exhausted to call us that day. Praying for letters and calls. Hugs and Prayers
I did get two letters.
No call here, in fact nobody is getting anymore letters either....he must be busy, which I'm assuming is a very good thing!
did anyone get a phonecall today??
Congrats to you & your sailor celynn! I'm so happy for you both!
celynn...I am so happy for you and him. It is such a relief when they recover and are able to move on. Congratulations!!!!
just wanted to update that my sailor completed BC on 2/7/2013 and has moved on to Pensacola. He was in RCU since Sept so this is great news and we are so happy. Reading all the posts helped me make it thru the long days of wondering. it gave me encouragement and helped me know what to say to him. thanks again and i hope every sailor is healthy and safe
Hi Skyler,
My two friends have already explained this to you, but I wanted to respond.
He was probably separated because he couldn't keep up with the training injured. He will stay in recovery until he is fit for duty again. At that time he will either go back to his division or finish in RCU. As they have said, keep your phone with you on Sunday. You will probably get a call and after his doctor appointment. My son is in Ship 4 recovering from a fractured elbow.
Don't worry...no news is good news...They will take good care of him and he will move right along.
Skyler... Sorry to hear about his injury. Did you get a phone call that said he was in RCU? If so, you should get a call after he sees the doctor. If not, wait on the call Sunday. Be sure to keep your cell phone close because you don't want to miss the call.
Hi Skyler, How far into training was your brother? and was it just an ankle sprain. Depending on the extent of his injury and how fast he heals will determine if he will be allowed to finish boot camp in RCU vs going back to his Division.. Training goes on in the Divisions and depending on where he was at the time of the injury will dictate how he finishes his training.. A lot of kids finish Boot Camp in RCU (Recruit Care Unit), My son did. Recruits in RCU typically get to call home every other Sunday, so stay by your phone.. this of course depends on the behavior of the Recruits.. We missed several weekends due to recruits doing STUPID Things.. which effects everyone. Happy to help. Encourage him to stay positive. Write him often..
