It's hard not knowing! That is the purpose for this group. Most likely if you are here your SR has had trouble keeping up or not passed a PFA due to some sort of minor medical issue. Often it stress fractures bringing SR's here. Know this when you don’t get a call that is a very good thing. Calling them is not a good thing and it can negatively impact your SR to have his or her “Mommy“ calling! They are harder on them in this DIV than any other. They want them up and out. The best thing you can do is sends tons of mail. Send scripture and motivational mail. I know my SR said reading the Bible was considered a sign of weakness here. When you get a tearful call motivate. Stay positive and encourage you SR. This is a small detour to greatness and getting the I'm a Sailor call! Recruit family and friends…“Navy mom friends are the best“…to send your SR mail as well. NMH for you all!!

Hey could any of you tell me what it means when My brother was moved here after spraining his ankel while marching? He was given 7 days to get better on croutches but on day three he was seperated from his DIV. My family just wants to know how he is doing we haven't heard from him since he said he was first hurt. And what is he doing on ship 4?
Thank you again!
CTMom...He will probably go to THU which is a holding unit. Our son stayed there after boot camp until he was officially declared well enough to continue his training and move on to Spec Ops. Ours had to be able to run 5 miles in a certain number of minutes. After 3 months of no activity, that was difficult to regain. Hopefully your son will be well enough to go on without continuing therapy. Celebrating with you and keeping you in our prayers.
Thank you both so much. We are just so happy for him. We'll see what happens next week after his next doctor appointment and xray.
He is supposed to be staying in GL for A school. GM. I'm not sure how it's going to work now because they timed his boot with his A school, so I'm wondering if he'll be on hold now...not sure how that works.
I'm so happy to hear Matt is settled in. That's great. :)
CTMom...Great news! Prayers and patience do come to fruition.
Mom&Dad4MattJ...Congratulations as well.
Congrats CTMom, wonderful news.. Glad to hear everything is going well.
Matt is all settled in Pensacola and classed up yesterday. Where is Paul going to A school ?
I heard from Paul today. He is now in phase 4! We are so happy! He has to have an xray again on Wednesday, but it seems that he will be joining the division he is AIT with on Thursday to finish up boot.
disneyfan1968 - I am so sorry for what your son is going through and for YOU. I will continue to pray for healing, strength and encouragement. My heart goes out to you and I too have tears in my eyes as I can imagine your pain and frustration. Prayers really do work and try to stay as busy as possible. Hang in there. {{HUGS}}
disneyfan1968...My heart aches with you. I can remember these days as if they were yesterday. I have tears in my eyes just thinking about the physical and emotional trials he is enduring and the heartache you are feeling. Prayer, Prayer, Prayer is all I can say. It is the only thing that got us through these difficult times. If he is in phase 3 it does mean he is making progress and we will continue to pray with you and for you and him. We will ask for strength to endure and courage to continue striving on. He does need to put up a good front of wanting to stay in if he really does. He cannot show weakness to the RDC's. That will definitely mean a separation. Prayers and Hugs to you both. Susan
Talked to my son again this past Sunday. This is the worst ever. He cried almost the whole call. Said he hated it there. Feel so bad for him. Said he can walk now without crutches, still doing the physical therapy, but still cant run because of his knees. Still doesnt know if they are keeping him or not. they did mention to him that they may separate him because he may never be able to pass any running tests because his kness are bad. Its just a sit and wait situation. Very Frustrating.
