Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

It's hard not knowing! That is the purpose for this group. Most likely if you are here your SR has had trouble keeping up or not passed a PFA due to some sort of minor medical issue. Often it stress fractures bringing SR's here. Know this when you don’t get a call that is a very good thing. Calling them is not a good thing and it can negatively impact your SR to have his or her “Mommy“ calling! They are harder on them in this DIV than any other. They want them up and out. The best thing you can do is sends tons of mail. Send scripture and motivational mail. I know my SR said reading the Bible was considered a sign of weakness here. When you get a tearful call motivate. Stay positive and encourage you SR. This is a small detour to greatness and getting the I'm a Sailor call! Recruit family and friends…“Navy mom friends are the best“…to send your SR mail as well. NMH for you all!!

My daughter left June 30, 21 ended up being sent to the ER before going to RTC to have her gall bladder removed. She left the hospital on July 5th and is now in RCU. I have not heard from her to see…Continue

navyknit22... Phasing can happen in the blink of an eye. Its all a matter of that pfa. My daughter passed her run abd BS before I got a call! I pray he has a speedy end to his stay in boot camp! It's more than a girl think...it's a military Mom thing. My daughters PIR several of us that became friends on here now have a fb group and still talk sometimes everyday! I'm not sure anyone outside of hero Mom's can quite understand! :o)

Thanks everyone! Yes Kyle is headed to San Antonio as a Corspman. I believe he got his orders this morning and just waiting to hear from him before graduation. He get to go to heaven today and tomorrow rumor has it... love that they call it heaven :)

Happy to report that I officially have a SAILOR! Kyle completed Battle Stations on Sunday night and is set to graduate this Friday! Thanks again to this amazing support group. Don't know how I would have gotten through this without everyones great advice and support. For everyone else who still has SR's in RCU! Hang in there..stay calm and remember what's meant to be will be. All good things come with time!
