Seamen Recruits are here getting medical treatment for minor injuries. FIT DIV is also in this area.

It's hard not knowing! That is the purpose for this group. Most likely if you are here your SR has had trouble keeping up or not passed a PFA due to some sort of minor medical issue. Often it stress fractures bringing SR's here. Know this when you don’t get a call that is a very good thing. Calling them is not a good thing and it can negatively impact your SR to have his or her “Mommy“ calling! They are harder on them in this DIV than any other. They want them up and out. The best thing you can do is sends tons of mail. Send scripture and motivational mail. I know my SR said reading the Bible was considered a sign of weakness here. When you get a tearful call motivate. Stay positive and encourage you SR. This is a small detour to greatness and getting the I'm a Sailor call! Recruit family and friends…“Navy mom friends are the best“…to send your SR mail as well. NMH for you all!!

Welcome Gale, you are in the right place. We are so sorry to hear about your son, I know this has to be hard on both of you, but rest assured, he is in good hands. My son was injured in March, and has been here until just recently, when he was transferred back to another division. Your story sounds so much like a friend of his he was telling me about. This recruit fell and broke his hand after being at boot camp for only 2 days. But he made it, and he is now going to be graduating with my son this Friday.
I encourage you to read the past posts here from everyone. The more you go back, the more you learn about what can be expected from this point, and you also get to know the awesome ladies on here, and how much support and love you will be able to experience during your time here.
Hang in there, things will get better, and we will all add your son to our daily prayer list!!
Got a call from my son last night he slipped in boot camp (had just arrived June 20) and fractured his elbow, I was told this is possibly the ship/div he's in now that he has to heal. It's hard with him just leaving then getting a call from him that hes injured.
BoomMom... I'm so glad you were able to post. Miss you and your posts. Be sure to tell Robert we're all still here thinking and praying for him and you too!!
Pam... Wishing your daughter the best for a safe journey home and into your arms tomorrow.
Keeping all the SRs in my thoughts and prayers as we all continue to move forward in this Navy experience...

Jill & Mandisa... Congratulations!!! What wonderful news!! I can't wait to hear all about PIR. You both shouldl be getting that call from your boys in the morning (I'm sure of it... I can just feel it.) Be sure to take lots of pictures at PIR and let us all know what it's like. Congratulations again on the great news!!!

Jill, BoomMom and everyone else.. Thank you so very much for your support and kindness. I got to talk with my girl for a couple of minutes this morning. Still do not know when tomorrow but that is ok... i can hang in there!!! lol I told her how great you all have been. That so many people she didnt know were praying for her. She said she knew... She could feel it. Thank you again. I will keep you all informed of the life path she takes. My deepest hope for all of you and yours is that Great Things come your way and that the wind is always at your back.. Always in my prayers... God Bless
BoomMom: wonderful advice for those who are coming home. Thank you, and we have all soooooo missed your posts on here.
Janet, I don't know how you are coping with your kids going every which direction, I only have one to worry about, and that ONE has just about sunk my sanity boat. lol You are one strong lady.
Karen, I promise to post a book when we get back from graduation. Your posts of your visits kept me going when I first got here, and knew what a long road that we had ahead of us. You and Janet kept hope alive for me. Maybe I can do the same for those who will be here in the future.
Pam: Tomorrow is your big day, you make sure to tell your daughter how many of us have been praying for her, (and you too). I have kept in touch with some of the Moms who have gone through the SEP thing, and there are so many positive stories from them. All things work together for good, and I hope you will stay on here and let us know what fabulous things are in your daughter's future, cause we know they are there.
Hi Wonderful Women!
I just wanted to update the latest on my son. He is still in Sep's (since 12Jun). He was whining up until this past Friday when he found out from the "JAG" rep that his paperwork was a delicate issue, and if done wrong, he could be stranded there for another 2 months!! Needless to say, he told the rep, "Take all the time you need..." lol Don't worry about ME, I'm doing just great; especially with all the good news happening in this group!
There is another thing that I wanted to bring up on this board that I don't recall ever seeing this mentioned before: Our SR's are able to request legal counsel when dealing with the Legal Dept. concerning their separation. My son asked for a rep to sit with him while Legal gave him papers to read and sign. Now, I think this part is important: after reading each paper, my son would turn to the rep and paraphrase what he thought the document was saying, and asked the rep if he was right or not. The rep would either say yes, or explain it correctly. I think it's so important that these kids don't get intimidated or railroaded into signing things that might be damaging to, perhaps, their future reenlistment or the Navy's obligations to the former recruits. Just FYI. ;-)
Pam - I hope your daughter's mood has evened out a little since being in the "lounge". THAT kind of freedom does a lot to boost up the spirits, but eventually, according to my son, makes him want MORE! I'm happy for both of you that she has been scheduled for Tuesday! Let her know that there are moms here that cared and prayed for her, too! And tearing up at the thought of your reunion! <sniff!>
Jill and Mandisa - Now, if you want tears, YOU TWO got an ocean of them from me!! (the Pacific to be exact!) Along with goose bumps, knots in my stomach, and a whole choir in my heart at the news of your SR's!! Don't forget to charge that camera, bring an extra SD card, and give those guys the biggest hugs from the rest of us! And don't forget to actually TAKE the gosh darn pictures!!
Mom2TJ- two more weeks!! Woohoo!
To the rest that I couldn't respond to because I can't change the page, you all are always in my thoughts and so are your sons and daughters! I leave with this thought that has been echoed many times by many different people here and in my life; our plans may not be God's plans.....yup, I believe it!
Hello everyone.. been reading to catch up. My Daughter is not home yet however she did call and say she was schedule to come home tuesday... Cant wait to see her face... was reading on the face book thing... Yes they can use facebook in SEPS i know.. they charge 6$ an hour.. am glad to hear some of the good news floating around here.. im praying all day everyday for all of you and yours.... God Bless
Patrick's Mom, I know I heard something about that by someone else but didn't know if that was true about the Facebook thing lol! I know he will post as soon as he can. He is a facebook junkie. Thank you for that information!
Jill & Mandisa, So happy for both your sailors and you! Also keep your computers up and running. My son actually posted on his Facebook page before he made any calls, so that's how I found out Battlestations was over. I got a Facebook notification in my email that my son had posted.
May Battlestations go well for both your boys! Graduation is FINALLY right around the corner! HOORAY!!!
