It's hard not knowing! That is the purpose for this group. Most likely if you are here your SR has had trouble keeping up or not passed a PFA due to some sort of minor medical issue. Often it stress fractures bringing SR's here. Know this when you don’t get a call that is a very good thing. Calling them is not a good thing and it can negatively impact your SR to have his or her “Mommy“ calling!  They are harder on them in this DIV than any other. They want them up and out. The best thing you can do is sends tons of mail. Send scripture and motivational mail. I know my SR said reading the Bible was considered a sign of weakness here. When you get a tearful call motivate. Stay positive and encourage you SR. This is a small detour to greatness and getting the I'm a Sailor call!  Recruit family and friends…“Navy mom friends are the best“…to send your SR mail as well.  NMH for you all!!

I sleep with my phone, one charger at home, one in the car, and another at work, just in case. Lol

Hi Jill I just spoke with my sailor as well! They are all really excited and happy that this is coming to an end in 6 days. He said that battle stations are on Monday night into Tuesday and that they will be calling sometime during that day. So keep your phone close! :)

Just got a call. My son passed his PFA with flying colors, all that's left is Battlestations, then graduation on June 29th. He is in great spirits, and the future is looking very bright. He said his experiences in RCU actually gave him an edge on the other recruits in a lot of areas. He hasn't had a chance to make a lot of new friends, and is very grateful for the presence of the other 8 guys in his division from RCU. No question that they share a special bond.
Hoping ALL of you get calls this weekend. You are always on my mind, and in my prayers!

JILLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  HOORAY!!!  I can't even BEGIN to tell you how happy I was to log on (haven't been here in several days) to see your wonderful news!  PRAISE THE LORD!!!

Praying everything continues to go according to plan, and that you'll be sharing happy graduation news with us VERY soon!  I think I can speak for Janet too - since our son's did not have a PIR, rather they graduated right from RCU, we'd really LOVE to hear your account of your son's PIR!

With love and hugs,

Karen

Thank you Angie, Janet, and LindenEmry.  I appreciate your comments so much.  Been a good day, my phone was SILENT, which means one day closer, and no brokenness anywhere today.  One day at a time.

Did have a bit of trouble finding a hotel that still had some rooms, took about 20 calls, but found one.  And thanks again to JenG for the instructions on what to do for the parking pass.  Worked like a charm.

You gals are so smart, you always know what to do!

For you gals that are still in the middle of all of this process, my heart is still with you.  I know the strain, the tears, the prayers, the depression, and also the hope that comes with each new success, and each new hurdle.  What lessons we have all been able to learn through this.
For those who have loved ones coming home, remember that God's master plan is much better than ours could ever have been.

Jill...   What wonderful news!!  I know that the wait has been long, but the end is in sight!  Only a week to go.  Hopefully you'll be getting a call this weekend from your son, then the "I'm a Sailor" call early next week.  This really is a happy day!!!  Congratulations on the news!!

BIG Hugs!!!

Mandisa-R, I'm sure our guys know each other.  My SR mentioned in his letter there were 8 guys in the division that he already knew from RCU, I'm sure yours was one of them.  :)
