I was finally able to get on my computer and get caught up on everything. With 3 teenagers and a husband, it's hard to get my hands on my computer. I'm mad at myself...I forgot my cable for the camera so I can't upload any photos until Monday night!

We are sitting in the hotel room trying to decide how to spend the day. I think we are going shopping and then out to eat a final family dinner!

Yesterday we went into downtown Chicago and visited the Field Museum. It was sooooo big. We finally got tired of walking around and left. It rained like crazy when we were there. The cheif told my son he didn't need his rain gear! UGH! We left at the perfect moment. My husband went to get the car and we were going to get my jacket and throw it over him and make a run for it. By the time my husband got the car around it was barely sprinkling! Went to Walmart and bought a laptop. Then went to dinner at Chili's. It was a nice day but seemed like it went by really fast!

My son had us pick him up at 6 on Saturday but he had been up since 4:30 so he decided that today we needed to pick him up at 5. I waited an hour and 15 mins for him...I wanted to kill him! That is an hour of sleep I sorely needed. Knuckle head!

They won't let him keep his civies. I guess I'll have to mail those to him. No telling what that will cost. I only sent one pair but they told him no. Grrr. He said he didn't really have much room anyway. I guess it is because his A-school is so long. I don't really think there is much rhyme or reason the Navy does stuff.

Carol~My son told me about the cc. He did know the APR and set up the payments to come out of his checking acct. We talked about him using it ONLY in emergencies! I told him about the kid and the ipad...he said..."idiot"! I only hope he will live by those words and not fall into the habit of whipping out that cc whenever he wants something! We have to let them make their own mistakes but atleast they can't say we didn't tell them! We are keeping him on our cell plan until he graduates from A-school. It doesn't cost that much and I would die if I tried to call him and it had been disconnected!

When I was sitting and waiting on him this morning, I was watching all the kids coming and going. My mama heart was freaking out! I guess some of them were coming home from the clubs. Oh my! I felt like I was on a college campus! A few of them could barely walk! And they were all smoking like dragons before going through the gate! When my son got in the car I begged him to please, please, please pick his friends carefully! I really hope he's in with another good group of boys. I think I got comfortable since he had such good buddies in bc. So now I have found another something to worry about! I'm gonna have alot to pray about for the next few years!!!!

Hope everyone has a safe trip home! We will leave out tomorrow morning. I can't stand the thought of that final good-bye. It will be a miracle if I don't break down this time! I held it together through everything but this....is killing me. I'm going to ask him to call me tomorrow evening. I'll need a call every night for a while!

My son made it to Pensacola just fine, he even got to fly 1st class. He's on Corry Station side. We had an awesome weekend and hated saying good-bye. We are on our way home now, its about 8 hour drive. The only really bad thing that happened is my husband spilled starbucks all over our sons cover! Oh man, luckily it was only 6 am and he had time to drive all the way back to the base and buy him another. Woops!!!
