Fireteamleader wife thanks for the hug. I've needed it. I think its harder to leave for A-school than bootcamp.. We are real close and he is a great kid. He has such a big heart. He also wants the new iPhone. LOL

SHUGA: he flew out of o'Hare. I know some Pensacola kids are leaving from Midway.

When I went to see my Sailor at the airport...there was a mess up...half of the Sailors did not have boarding passes...mine was in that group. I overheard the rep at the AP that had been instructing them talking with another mom. Seems that his group was supposed to leave later in the day and it got changed like, the day before.

By the time he got his boarding pass we could not go through security to see him off. No time. He wanted me too sooooo bad. He started to cry but was choking it back...somehow I always manage to keep it in...it's cuz I know if I start I will SOB and have a hard time stopping...so I do it later. He was the last one to get his pass...but another Sailor waited for him and walked with him.

Man that sucked.

Okay, I'm being a BIG downer, sorry!

Carol where did he fly out of?
Comment by CarolP on August 21, 2011 at 2:45am
Oh goodness, did he get in trouble? There was about 5 people who had theirs not arrive with them. My son was upset, because he had some important papers that he needed. Not his orders. Lol...

The thing is I'm tired and in pain. I wasn't expecting all the walking around the airport because the kept changing the gat numbers, so I didn't pack my Meds because I didn't know I was going to have to do all the walking that I did do this weekend.

My daughter is on the bus to the airport now. Yes I have pictures but I
have to wait til I get home to up load them, my moms internet is off.

Fireteamleaderwife thanks for the hug.

Great...no luggage. I hope they cut him some slack until he gets it.

I know of a servicemember, on his way home from deployment, who's luggage was sent to the wrong place...turns out another passenger had the same last name...his weapon in the BIG locked case went with it!

Shuga, did you get pics of graduation? And after?
Comment by shuga on August 21, 2011 at 2:33am
I told my daughter not to use her credit card unless it's an emergency. I also told her that her wanting a new pair of levis is not an emergency! But she is down right cheap! That girl can squeeze Abe Lincoln of a penny, so im not to worried about the credit card. She said she only got it to build up her credit.

P.S. Shuga: My son arrived in Pensacola, but his luggage didn't.
