For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hi ladies it's been a while since I have been on here. James is now in A-school in Pensacola Florida. We are fourtuante enough to have family an hour from there so we are also down here. I get to see him almost everyday. He is working up to overnight liberity which is in two weeks. It is really nice they can do pretty much whatever they want with limits. Craig Morgan came there and put on a free concert on base. It was awesome. Things have been going pretty good so far. I miss all of you guys. I am so glad this page was started!!!!!! There are a few guys here from 180 that I am getting to know. I understand why they were so strong. Great guys!!! They all love our son. He calls them his Navy friends, and is excited to see them. My son is home sick, but I think he will get used to it. Well good luck to everyone. Hope to hear from you soon!!!

Morning Moms and Wives: It's a different world now that they are out of Boot camp, isn't it? A while ago we discussed whether we should post info. about our sailors graduating BC in our local papers. Last week, both local papers in our area published a statement re: my son's graduation, who his parents are and where he went to High School. I hear RTC had them fill out a form early in boot camp if they wanted an announcement made. So, we now know RTC does send a statement to our local paper. I did not see the announcements in the paper, but I happened to google myself and there it was! Hope you and your sailors are all well. I do miss chatting with all of you.

Laurel-That's good to here about your kid too!
From what my Sailor has told me It sounds like it is about half and half as far as being like BC. He is classed up. He really wants to do well...it's a lot of new info, but he can do it. Will hopefully be settled in soon. Classed up faster than we thought! I hope the drinking thing doesn't happen while he is there. It's nice to be able to connect now.

Momma, I had forgotten Jeff was the "old man" (baby to me) in the group. What a sad time he went through, but he turned it around. Better things are in store for him I'm sure. So glad he's happy. The Navy is making my kid happy too.

Laurelbc, Jeff is at GL for 6 months. He is studying to be an Electrician (EFMN), he loves it. I don't know if you remember but he is almost 31 and lost a really good paying job and could not find another one. He waited almost a year to go in to the Navy and I really think he wil make a career out of it. He married a girl with 4 kids and she divorced him when he lost his job. He went through a really bad depression after that. I really didn't think he would actually go in to the Navy. I am so proud of him for sticking with it. He is his old self again. The Navy (so far) had brought back my "Fun" kid again. He is laughing and joking around again and I am really happy for him.
