Cindy ~ I was told the same thing by my SR before she left on July 20th.  I had her graduating after Sept 21st but when her form letter came, said her division was graduating on Sept 16th!  Our SRs will be the first division to graduate after the 10th anniversary of 9/11.  My SR's great grandmother was born in 1911 (same year Great Lakes was started) so I feel she has a guardian angel watching over her too.  Start to a fantasic future and I get to share this with all of you.  Cannot wait to meet you at the Meet 'n Greet on the 15th!

If I understood my daughter, their boot camp started Aug 1. She left July 20 and the first week and a half was processing, I think. By the graduation, they'll have 7 weeks actual training? That's what I understood from he letters. Maybe each division is different. Maybe I'm wrong.

CURRENTLY THIS IS WHERE WE STAND;

1. Adding colors to the PIR date in support of your ship and div. List the color you are choosing. Copy and re-post only line 1 down when you have added your color, copy and re-post so others do not choose your same color. Lets all do different colors if possible - Back of shirt says SAILOR........(there Last Name) front of shirt SHIP02/DIV944 however you want to place it and of course our LALA ribbons.

2. SHIP02DIV944 - Navy Blue shirts with White Letters

3. SHIP12DIV312 -Red shirts with White Letters

4.  Ship11div314-Gold/yellow shirts with Blue lettering

5. Ship 11 Div 313 - Navy shirt with Gold letters

6. Ship 7 Div 303 - White shirts with Blue letters

My son went 7/21 but his division didn't fill until 7/25 - supposedly in a "push division".  He is on week3 day5 today.  When he called last Monday I asked if he had done everything that the week by week said he had and he had not done confidence course yet - didn't appear to be following the schedule -don't know if it's because they are in "push" or why.  Had done the PFA in week 1 - schedule said week 3.

Kimmie ~ I know it's not the same but we're all here for ya ;-)   Remember - you are both doing something to better your future and make time possible for you two to be together down the road.  What is your major (besides Boot Camp 101).

WHAT WEEK?    Well, if you take July 25th as being the first FULL WEEK for our SRs, this would be the start of Week #5:  SR training and administative tasks.  More time spent firing live rounds of a 9mm handgun, firing five "frangible" training rounds on a Mossberg shotgun, extensive anti-terrorism/force-protection briefings on threat conditions, history of terrorism, and steps sailors can take to prevent less of a potential target.  Computer classes and familiarization with the Navy Knowledge Online Web Site.  Eight one-hour mentoring sessions with RTC staffers and a RDC.
