Funny reading what everyones SR is saying in their letters because my son thinks it is only his division having problems! They all seem to have the same complaints about a few that wont keep their mouths shut and about some leaders that let the power go to their heads. My son told me one of his leaders ( not the RDC) was a hippocrit. He tells everyone to shut up but then he talks. Too funny

If you moms missed the message from diannep, go back a few pages and read it.  She's one wise Navy mom!  Some day you'll be the ones advising the newbees!

I had the pleasure of talking to a young woman, new sailor who PIR'd July 22.  She's home on leave before going to San Diego.  She said her momma is spoiling her while she's home--of course!  I told her that my son would have yelled at her while she was running, so the recruiter questioned her about being yelled at.  She actually remembered my son on the outside of the track.  She said that he didn't yell in anger, but more in encouragement like "This is lap 10!  You're not thinking about quitting yet, are you?"  It was fun to talk to someone who could give me insight into how he acts. I told her that I'd have told her I was sorry he yelled, but I couldn't since he's doing his job to make sure they're all good sailors.  When she told me it was in encouragement, I was proud that he's turned into the teacher and coach.  So know they don't always get yelled at for doing something wrong.

I found the perfect t-shirt at cafepress.com.  It has an old time phone on it and it says"  Warning!  Military Mom...will push, pull, bite, shove, pinch, trip or fake you out to get to the ringing phone!"  Gotta order it today - it's so true.  I already told my boss that my phone will be turned on and not on silent or vibrate.  All he said was to make sure I at least walk out of my patients room first!  He was pretty understanding.
