A sign you all may want to place on your mailbox during bootcamp:
"Not responsible for any injuries to my mail carrier as a result of a super anxious and excited N4M woman trying to find "THE LETTER" from her SR."
Hoping for a letter today. Haven't heard much from my fiance since last Monday when I got the form in the mail. Been having alot of nightmares lately and haven't been getting any sleep. I'm currently stalking...I mean...waiting on the mailman. I hope today is the day I finally recieve a letter. I need something to put my mind at ease. Hope you all who haven't recieved letter yet do so soon!
diannep, well said! We've probably all seen DI's in movies yelling at recruits--it's for a reason. I did find out something about the athletic PT, Boys R Us--all I was told was that if a SR is overweight, it leads to more intense PT. Can't say that's the case for your SR, but my instructor had never heard of "athletic" PT.
hello to all
i was kinda thinking the same thing, tygerh, about why i didnt get we didnt get our call on wednesday i hope they still get to write home
kimmie---i am going to pray really hard for you that you get a letter or call soon you so deserve it you always sound so chipper for everyone else God bless you!!!!
Remember, the yelling is during the "breakdown" process for your SRs. With so many from all different backgrounds, experiences, expectancies, personalities in the same division...the RCCs have to get them all on the "same page." Not an easy job by any means! So the yelling can be quite intense and I had seen one SR post after the fact that you "wonder if you can do ANYTHING right." This turns around during about training week 4. They have accomplishments under their belt then and see the "prize." It becomes the "building back up" time for them and is a much more positive experience...still challenging, but rewarding. So hang in there!
And, yes, Evi, those boots create lots of blisters for many of them. But eventually, they get used to them.
Hoping for a letter today!!!!
