firewife:  Those who are sick may get some light duty until they are better...they try to keep them in the division if they are able to, but if really sick, some may have to go to RCU (would be asmoed (setback) then).  Most recover within their divisiions though.

To Boys R US my son said the same thing about people not knowing  when to shut up. He said that they are all getting sick of it.  I didnt get a phone call he called his girlfriend, I was bummed at first but I do understand.  I am just glad to get the letters and he is sounding better each one.

Yeah! Finally got a letter! Glad he is so upbeat!

Guess what...the "talkers" will most likely never stop...my Sailor said that they continued until the end of BC. They still did good as a DIV...but yeah...they had to "pay" for it.

(It's been that way in "A" school too. ugh.)

Oh happy day!! I just got my son's first 2 letters! (ship07/div 307) It was great to hear from him, but a bit sad too. He has been sick, apparantly with severe cough and fever. Does anyone know how they handle the "sickies"? My prayer is that he doesn't get held back or anything because of it. Also, I just want to say THANK YOU! to Johns_Mom (12/312) for alerting us to the RTC Facebook page! How wonderful to see my son's pic! With a smile and all!! Check it out you guys if you have a chance!

Kimmie, Sheshe, Pennie, all of the others with loved ones in 944,

I am praying that you receive some news (letter, phone call, smoke signals, something!) soon. I know if I were in your shoes, I would already have gone totally nutso cuckoo by now. Y'all exhibit grace and patience in a way of which I am envious. Thank you for helping me keep my perspective.
