We lost a sailor last week. Thought you all might want to read the beautiful tribute from his father:

KimmieM - it could be!
Just a few facts about your group:
Since 303 is the lowest division number in this group, they-- along with their brother division 304-- will start training first. All divisions are just a few days apart in the training progress.
Brother divisions in this group are:
303/304, 305/306, 307/308, 309/310, 311/312, 313/314. 944 has no brother division.
"Integrated" divisions are co-ed divisions. They train together but have separate barracks (HOOYAH!). The female barracks will contain more than one division of girls.
303/304 will start off Battlestations for this group. They do those in consecutive order, lowest to highest division numbers, with brother divisions. 944 will go with a set of brother divisions.
Since divisions train with their brother divisions, your SR will know those SRs in their brother division as well.
Your SRs are in the very toughest part of bc right now. They are dealing with many emotions---homesickness, stress, enduring lots of yelling, wondering if they can ever do anything "right" again :-), possible illness (they all seem to get sick at some point while there---too many bodies in one place, germs, stress, anxiety, and an "overload' of vaccinations at one time that, in my humble opinion, temporarily lowers their immune system---allowing some illness to settle in. Don't worry...they recover, and most without having to be delayed in training. They are given "light duty" if they are under the weather and just need a bit more rest to "kick it."). Just keep encouraging them. Remind them week 4 (Hell Week) of training is a turnaround week for them. They finally have accomplished alot by then and realize that they CAN do this (if they doubted it before) and see the light at the end of the tunnel.
YOUR job is to stay on this site for support when needed, to send constant encouragement to them, not to share ANY negative news that might compromise their mental attitude---their whole focus needs to be on bootcamp---and most importantly, to focus on PIR when they will be "strutting their stuff" for their families! It truly is a magical day. And it will be here before you know it!
