Hi everyone, sorry I haven't really been on here much the last couple of days. We are home from the Keys, happy to be sleeping in our own bed tonight. I didn't have internet where we stayed last night and my phone charger for the car broke and I couldn't use my phone for internet because the battery was too low. The good thing is my Kindle was charged and I bought a new book this morning and read the entire novel by the time I got home, James Patterson's "Now You See Her" It was really good if you need a book to read :-) I also finished the Hunger Games trilogy yesterday which was awesome. They are filming the movie close to my house :-) I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend, I am already unpacked and will be back to working on ribbons tomorrow for all of you who have ordered them. Thanks so much it is good to be back :-)

Has anyone gotten a "real" letter from their SR? Just wondering...

Hi Jeanandy89 -- glad you got your letter.  We also were impressed about how much better our SRs handwriting had become on that letter and envelope.

Kimmie:  Up until now....actually, for over a year now... I have been posting BattleStations schedules (their final test before they are sailors) in each PIR group. I would get this from some of the SRs letting their families know when their division was going.  So ladies would post them, here and in the BattleStations discussion group above, and then we would get a schedule together.  Well, RTC doesn't want that anymore.  Says it violates OPSEC (Navy security).  Now...what they said a yr ago was that they want ladies to start PRACTICING OPSEC...and they figured BattleStations was a good place to start.  But they allowed us to post on N4Moms....another veteran even checked it out with RTC last Fall.  But now, they don't want us doing that anymore.

Sooooo.....rather than have you ladies wonder what in the world is going on and when will your SR become a sailor, I thought it would be better to just have people "pm" the group the dates they hear from their SRs.  I will then start keeping a schedule and pm it back out to all when it is filled.  More tedious than what we had before, but I think it only fair that ladies know when their SRs are going through BattleStations....we just can't have it posted anywhere on here for others to see.

Nothing to worry about until about 3 weeks before PIR.  They won't know their dates yet.

Meant to say :  no BattleStations "dates" are allowed on the board/discussion groups.
