Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

This story just breaks my heart and makes me feel so sad. I can't even imagine what this young man must be going through. I will keep him in my prayers every day.

 Praying that our SRs they have clearness of mind, ability to see many steps ahead in problem solving and for the endurance for what lies ahead.

The wreck happened on the 9th from what the internet link on Texas Moms said they had a beautiful picture everyone was in a NAVY shirt and he was in his Sailor uniform. How sad and Yes please everyone be safe in your travels. You can read it on the TX mom site you don't have to join it to read it.

sbarber--That is so sad.  Praying for the family during this difficult time.  OMG!!  Praying for everyone to have safe travel to PIR.

@sbabrber that breaks my heart! When did this happen? It's horrible! It really puts things in check. Just when you think you have a lot of crap you're dealing with...things could be so much worse. Give thanks for all that we have!

Oh this time I agree with Anita I would LOVE to know if they all passed as most of you know my son was set back a little over  7 weeks with his knee injury....... So I'm especially hoping that they have all passed and that today is the ONE & ONLY day I don't want a phone call........praying, praying, praying. I'm also on TX Moms and we have suffered a huge loss a family(mom,dad,brother) were on theur way to SanDiego to welcome home their son/brother on the USS Ronald Regan and were killed in an auto accident outside of Tuscon please pray for this poor sailor and his family. God bless us one and all.

I told my students today that today was my Wednesday. They all looked at me like I was nuts, but then remembered about me being out Thursday and Friday. They are really happy for all of us, though, and have requested tons o pictures. A lot of them are thinking about joining the Navy, as we have a huge presence in my neck of the woods.
