Hawaiimom - I am so sorry that your traveling to PIR did not work out for you. All the other moms/wives/girlfriends should give Hawaiimom's SR a huge group hug from his mama at PIR!!!

I wish I could help you figure out the airline situation, but I start pulling hair out too when I start thinking about it! Not my favorite part of traveling. I'm glad his dad and sister can make it... I hope you can figure it all out so you can go too! Good luck :)

Thanks Tasha, hopefully my husband is going up and can take things to him. His sister is going from college in Kansas. I've been on line all day looking to try and figure out airfare. I have a stand-by ticket and I can't seem to get the connections I need. Starting to pull my hair out....

Same here Wisconsin mom. I can't seem to figure out where to start with the packing. All that matters right now is the clothes I'm wearing on PIR not caring about the other 9 days I'll be up there. I am so ecstatic right now! Only 5 more days till I fly up. What a feeling it will be to only be a mile away from my SR instead of thousands!!! I'm praying they get that hall of fame. I know they can do it!! BS21 on Monday, not sure when the calls come in. I guess we will have to read other groups discussions to see when they start getting their calls.
Hawaiimom-Let me know if you want me to bring anything up for your son! I would be more than happy to do so. I'm sorry you can't make it but at least you know you tried! There will be many more events coming up that you and your family can celebrate with him :)

Okay ladies, I think I may have ADD. I can't seem to focus - keep thinking about BS21 and how I can hardly wait to see my son. Brought a load of clothes from the dryer to fold, only did half, went and brushed my teeth, came back to computer, turned around and realized I never finished folding the cloths, cant find my cell phone and hey, I didn't get my work cloths laid out for tomorrow. Agghhh!!!

Got 3 letters from my son. Sounds like they are still really close to Div 926 in scores for hall of fame, and as of his letter 926 is ahead, but only by .01. Div 821 score is 4.92 and Div 926 is 4.93. If they would have gotten 5.0 on PT then they would have been ahead, but that didn't happen (1 guy didn't pass). In order to get the Hall of Fame, Div 821 has to get a 5.0 on rack inspection.
He is in really good spirits and I just can't wait to see him!!

Guess what? my sad day turned happy!! My neighbor came to the door... with a LETTER!! Our mailman delivered it to his house! Can you believe it. He is doing great, says he can't wait to see us. He said his bunkmate has the initials WC and he is from Calif. Any mom's/wives with sons/husbands with those initials?
He sounds awesome, and very happy. Saidhe has made some really good friends from Calif, NJ,and other places.I totally understand where the SRs are coming from when they say they love mail. It is amazing how that little envelope can change your day!
Hawaiimom, I really hope you can work out a way to come, I feel for you, and I am crossing my fingers that you can make it.
